Yes. No penalty. Rumour is they'll use a 'race' engine for races and another engine for other sessions.

On this, I assume I have misunderstood the rules? I thought it was 10 grid penalty for engine change mid race weekend?
Report Green Board March 14, 2010 1:13 PM GMT
No grid penalty any more but yuo are only allowed so many for the year (I think 8 but I'm not 100% on that)
Report hOOd March 14, 2010 1:16 PM GMT
8 it is and the 2 used already would make me wonder about their reliability over the next 18 races
Report Java March 14, 2010 1:20 PM GMT
silly question - what happens if they run out of engines? Is that the end of their season?
Report hOOd March 14, 2010 1:25 PM GMT
Lose 10 places on the grid in every race that a new engine is used after the 8 allowed

cheers
