I am puzzled by this as well ambush. The rule has not changed as far as i know.

The oddschecker preview for the race says :

"Granny Lowrie only recently lost a Kilbeggan maiden hurdle win from August, after a banned substance was detected in a sample. She has to be seen as a big danger to all".

Now i have no idea who does the oddschecker preview, so taking on trust that they are correct.

Would seem there is an error in the data relayed to the media by Weatherbys or whoever.

thanks monarch , that would be more logical. rp comments won a kilbegan mares mdn hurdle on debut in aug.should play a major part. no mentionof any subsequent disq.

rp has updated its database. seems a fair price for a winner without a penalty in a moderate enough mares bumper.
