A surprising development to most and based on a "difference of opinion" according to Redvers.

My guess is Lyons sees Lightening Quick as a sprinter (the name-geddit?) whereas the owners may fancy a crack at Irish 1,000 Guineas for which Lyons also has Who's Steph. Seems the customer is not always right?

Fair play to Ger Lyons.  If an owner sends you a horse to train why tell him/her how to train it and where to place it.

Is this why they split wonks? Did you meet the great man in the jacks at Naas?

Serious possibility the split was over them being slow payers.

^ I agree with that.
Probably the same for all these splits, although the PR release will talk about "training, "targets", "artistic differences" and such and such.

Its such a pity and certainly chalk n cheese when you compare Lyons to Murtagh, thats the big surprise here going from having a great trainer to a below average trainer.
