Right lads, a wee mini comp this week in the Canadian Open and whoever wins I will do a £25 bet to the winner in the last major of the year in just over a fortnights time the PGA.

Pick 3 players in this week's tournament and points as follows:

1st 25pts.    6th 7pts
2nd 15 pts.  7th 6pts
3rd 10 pts.   8th 5pts
4th 9pts.      9th 4pts
5th 8 pts.    10th 3pts
Missed cut -2pts.

In the event of a dead heat, whoever has the highest placed player is deemed the winner.

Only a few quid, I know, but I had a good  Sunday, so just a little back to the forum.

You never know, you might just get the bug for this golf malarkey.

Jaysus, you must be rolling in it after Lefty came good for you! You are throwing it around like confetti now!

A nice idea though. Lets hope a forum regular wins it.  I suspect the few quid offered will smoke a few lurkers out  of the woodwork!

Very nice gesture by you Deplasterer,as I said before delighted you had a nice win,my three against the field are Daniel Summerhays,Schwartzel,and Snedeker.Have to say the golf threads each week on our forum are very good with good input,
Report Deplasterer July 22, 2013 10:34 PM BST
No bother lads, forgot to add, if say 3 are tied 8th for example, that is deemed as all 8th, ie. 5pts.

Will not be about weekend, so will do spreadsheet, Monday morning and post results as soon as I can.

Winner can do as many players in whatever market he chooses and will copy and paste bet(s)to this thread. In the happy event a bet connects I will email Barry Orr to transfer to the appropriate account.

Right lads, Just thinking about this, that week of the PGA I will be trading on my own bets more than likely, which will mean I could feck up the winners bet on this.  Also some of you might have better commission rates than me on here ( currently 4.9%) or bet on the purple. So whoever wins I can transfer direct to your bank account/or send a cheque/postal order. Worry about that eventuality sure on Monday.

It is duly noted that you offer no defence against the accusations of prejudice and intolerance.

With regard to sex, you consider any sexual act outside of wedlock as deviant and vulgar. Your views are rooted in the suffocating God-fearing dark ages of rural Ireland of the 50's. I, on the other hand, see sex as a natural healthy act to be freely enjoyed between consenting adults.

That's wonderful news, DePlasterer.  Thank you.

You can donate here;

It's heart warming that the plight of Young LGBT Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Ireland has been brought to the attention of the forum. Perhaps others will be inspired to donate.

Here is some more background information on this most worthy cause;

Michael Barron, CEO of BeLonG To observed “Young LGBT Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Ireland are an invisible group: a minority within a minority. They face grave isolation due to the multiple marginalities they experience: as asylum seekers or refugees, and on the basis of race coupled with sexual orientation and gender identity. Traditionally in Ireland there has been a failure to adequately address their situation, which has resulted in vulnerable young people being forced to survive in unsafe environments. This project seeks to mainstream the issues of LGBT asylum seekers and refugees within the organisations working with them. Since the Project began we have seen first-hand that accessing LGBT-sensitive services can greatly improve the safety and wellbeing of asylum seeking and refugee youth. We hope that organisations will avail of our trainings in order to create safer and inclusive spaces for LGBT asylum seeking and refugee young people in Ireland.”
