A lot of Meade's are bombing, even before xmas this year!
|

Does Noel Meade have a horse entered?
Mount Benbulben!! Monksland is one I like, made shi** of a Down Royal bumper at the beginning of November, looked impressive but highly unlikely he'll be thrown in at the deep end like this. |

There may be only four runners but what a great race it is shaping up to be.Jetson is the weak link but the other three are top class. The Mullins stable in flying form and they think a lot of Boston Bob although the form is not there,Ipsos Du Berlais was given a bad ride at Thurles and will love Navan but Mount Benbulben was sensational last time at Navan, to me he will always be Workriders horse so i hope he wins.Anyone any idea how they will bet.
|
By:
AGREE WILDMAN,I THINK THEY MIGHT BET SOMETHING LIKE 5/4 MOUNT,7/4 BOSTON,7/2 IPOS AND 14 JETSON,SHOULD BE A GREAT RACE
|
By:
I'd be all over the 7/2 on Ipsos, but more likely 5/2, IMO. Cracking wee race all right.

By:
Navan Novice Hurdle - Winner 2011-12-18
Favourites: Mount Benbulben (5/4) , Boston Bob (9/4) , Ipsos Du Berlais (9/2) , Jetson (16) |
By:
BJG is that your betting forecast or is it from a bookmakers site?
|
By:
Boyles and Powers are already priced up
|
By:
Not being disrespectful but the exchanges won`t bet to those figures, they look way too generous to me.
|
By:
99.27% is the book for those prices
|
By:
All over Boston Bob....unforuntely Ipson has the Noel Meade jinx last time and i am not sure in such a high class race I can forgive him.
Boston Bob for me....so so impressed with him on debut. |
By:
Going likely to be very demanding.......workriders horse Mount Benbulben grinded it out the last day but 2ml 4fur is surely his minimum......but stamina is going to be needed so he could be the one ..........on better ground I'd prefer BB....
|
By:
Workriders horse runs in the ist at Bangor tomorrow......its a short priced favourite trained by Nicky Henderson.
|
By:
Bob now 6/4 with Powers, had to take some 9/2 Upside though.
|
By:
Ipsos, feckin predictive text.

|
By:
FFS paulie the poor guy didnt own a hair off mount benbulbens tail......he used be on here before...... a complete doughnut who a few people took advantage of,they started telling him he was a genius and some sort of pro punter......the biggest culprit was a basstarrd called wildmanfromborneo,he really messed with his head and sadly it finished up really bad......
|
By:
Paulie Wallnuts go back to the Munster forum ya tool.
|
By:
I AM SURPRISED THAT YOU SAID THAT ABOUT WILDMANFROMBORNEO,I REALLY ENJOYED READING SOME OF HIS POSTS TODAY,ESPECIALLY THE ONE ABOUT ARKLE,BUT IF SOMEONE DONE THAT TO THE POOR MAN THEN THATS NOT GOOD,IS HE STILL ALIVE?BIGWILLYSTYLE I CANT FIND THE MUNSTER FORUM,WHATS IT UNDER?
|
By:
Paulie are you de reel deel or just a whole-nut......
|
By:
JUST SEEN SOME OLD POSTS,THE POOR FELLA ENDED UP IN JOHN O GODS,DONT BLAME WILMANFROMBORNEO BECAUSE HE WAS STANDING UP FOR HIM,LOTS OF PEOPLE DIDNT LIKE HIM,WHY?STILL CANT FIND THE CONNECTION BETWEEN MOUNT BENBULBEN AND WORKRIDER
|
By:
Can't see beyond MB myself, think he has proved "himself" beating a decent animal in RF and should be the better for PC back in the plate (not that DJC did anything wrong),also think BB will be better for better ground!
|
By:
paulie, he flagged him up after watching him pointing or something like that
|
By:
Wonkys horse won today at 8/11,hope ye were on.Well done lookingforthewildman for flagging him up.
|
By:

|
By:
MB, won when Elliot's were in a bad run of form A sign of a good horse. That will do for me.
|
By:
Powers now best on MB at 11/10,spoilers have him at tips on already.Must have laid the heavy hitters again.
|
By:
yep, all the money seems to be coming for the fav, prob go off odds on, does have C&D form & goes on the heavy, but I'm still hoping Ipsos may have too many gears for him.
|
By:
I can believe the Bookies have a Elliott Horse over Mullins. Its like Chalk and Cheese if we are Honest. Elliott is a very good trainer but Mullins is the Best in these Islands without a doubt, Please dont say Paul Nicholls Please dont!.
Boston Bob was very highly rated after his P2P win and if you have ever seen him he is a Big Black Beauty of a horse very strong and will have no problem with the ground. He has a significant Change of gear. Mount Benbulben for me is all Chaser, needs 3 Miles and lack a neccessary change of gear. He will be a real Gold Cup contender if he stays fit in 3 years. Jumps Big and Clumsy at times. On the Other hand Boston Bob jumps slick and much lower at his Hurdles. The fact that it good be a farce pace means that the horse with the superior jumping speed will win. Even if it a good gallop i do see how they can beat Boston Bob with his prowess of tactical speed. ASK YOURSELF THIS WHO DID Boston Bob beat in his Point win and ask yourself why I am so confident that the bookies have this all wrong. May head to Navan actually as i looking Forward to big wagers on himself and Don Cossack only. |
By:
I don't see any reason why Boston Bob should be fav ahead of Mount Benbulben. Mount Benbulben had better bumper form than Boston Bob in my opinion and Mount Benbulben has done more than Boston Bob over hurdles so far. On what i have seen from the 2 of them on a racecourse i would have Mount Benbulben fav.
|
By:
So i think the bookies have it right
|
By:
Mount Benbulben (1) , Boston Bob (15/8) , Ipsos Du Berlais (5) , Jetson (16)
A word of caution, the fav's have been upset in the last 4 runnings. 2010 (Fully Funded 7/4F) 2009 (Rhyl Accord 11/10F) 2008 ('Pando' at 2/7F !!!) 2007 (Gem Daly 6/4F), |
By:
Well got a good chunk on Boston Bob at 7/4. Unfortuntely i could not get on Don Cossack as they did not have it priced up so I will leave him alone and realised the race has quite a bit of depth so might be a wise move.
Leinster was my another big bet of the weekend to beat the -16 handicap i could not get priced at -23 which I wanted. Don't want to get greedy!! ![]() |
By:
Boston bob is 15/8 now can see him going off about 5/2 with mount benbulben a shade of odds on. Was hugely impressed with mount last time where ruby rode a cracker on rebel fitz. If there is no pace he can go on himself. Make a track and golanbrook have given a strong look to the form by winning this week. Boston bob all potential at the mo.
|
By:
Delighted they keep pushing the price out. Elliots mob must be having a lot of cash on there horse.
Looking forward to the duel ![]() |
By:
Good luck Ruby - have to say though I'm in the Mount B camp but having topped up again for Cheltenham I won't be on tomorrow.
|
By:
2 horse race so, it seems
Mount Benbulben (11/10) , Boston Bob (15/8) |
