Realistically Boy Wonder McIlroy the best chance, at 12-1 too skinny, Pod & McDowell playing like me & Darren hasn't sobered since the Open.

Long course so I'm chancing a few big hittin Yanks:

Dustin Johnson
Gary Woodland
Bubba watson

Tips & thoughts if you wish.

Coures; Atlanta gc.
With two 500y par 4,s,plenty of water, bunkers tree,s, looks to be a good test, narrower fairways since last played in 01 probably mean we won,t see the -15 that won it then.In regards in running the stretch of holes 5-13 inc seems the easier part of the course.Head honcho Ken Maugum thinks whoever drives best will win.
Players.
With no course form as last played ten years ago(Toms beat Mickleson)its all a bit of guesswork.Other than Rory the other 3 irish lads seem out of form, same comment with Woods and Kaymer.Donald,Day Fowler and Watney playing well of the shorter price players.
Went small with B.Davis,S. Verplank,R.Green and Dufner on the basis of price and driving stats, definitely seems a tournament to wait til it pans out a bit.
Good luck with your punts, should be good viewing.

david toms is my tip for the week - won it last time it was here and finished with a 67 last sunday in ohio to finish 9th with rounds of 68,68,68,67 - backed him each way at 66/1 with paddies - 1/4 odds top 6.

Also won at colonial this year - only 52s on here so paddies are too high in the odds

Seems to me you need to be long and straight around here (So i've read Silly ) so hard to see McIlroy and Westwood not contending at some point and trading lower, so i've backed both of them. If Rory has a hot week with the putter he has the ability to blow them away.

At bigger odds Peter Hanson interests me, played very well at the WGC last week and although his temperament is a little suspect I reckon he can work himself into a position for a profitable trade.

gl all.

A shrewd internet judge tipped David Toms, Andres Romero and Jim Furyk.

I like Fowler again. He is a brilliant brilliant golfer and is still value at 33's 6 places with the Tallaghtman.

A victory for continental Europe.
Matteo Manasserro @ 270
Sergio Garcia @ 70
The best putter in the world and the worst but brilliant straight drivers one short one long.

Manassero was just 50/1 far as I recall for the British Open so that is definitely a bit of value for this.

He is very short (distance) though.

sligored i find it hard to give toms much of a chance ...if its playing  as long as it say's , then toms struggles imo...

Think keeping the ball on the fairways more important than length here. The fact its going to be so humid and firm negates alot of the effect of the extra yardage. Toms famously layed up on the par 4 18th 10 years ago to win here. Just guided his ball round safely for the week. For this reason I like Zach Johnson who has found some form of late and maybe Heath Slocum who is also a local resident. Of the longer hitters Gary Woodland definitely has the game to win a major. Lucas glover was excellent tee to green at Open so he may go close again.
Interesting stat for the USPGA is that 11 of the last 12 winners had already won that year.
