I GOT MATCH AT 1.7 ON THE DRAW AFTER THE FINAL WHISTLE!!!!
FIRST TIME EVER! |
By:
To be fair it was bang on the 73 mins.
Very disappointing from a Cork point of view, had the game in their hands and blew it. |
By:
LOOK AT ALL THE MUGS NOT LEAVING HAHAHA
|
By:
Ref didn't half play for the draw.
|
By:
oh dear thats terrible !! and u backed the draw ?
|
By:
Disgrace that nobody knows whether match is to go to ET or not. Typical.
|
By:
reffing in the gaa is an absolute joke. kerrys equalising free was never a foul
|
By:
HAHAHA GAA MUGS
|
By:
IT says it in the program there is extra time King.
|
By:
Fair enough result to be honest, referee was a pure disgrace though. Probably 50/50 on decisions given, but some of his calls were ridiculous to say the least.
|
By:
I think he owed Kerry an easy free. Shouldn't happen that way but on balance I think he owed them one.
|
By:
great second half to be fair..galvin made a big difference when he came on...
|
By:
Ref couldn't blow the whistle quick enough. The 3 mins wasn't even up
|
By:
ref played for the draw
he was horrific - shouldnt be allowed to watch gaelic let alone be an official |
By:
GAA gets worse as a spectacle every year
|
By:
It was 72.50 or so. Cork were in possession deep in their own half. Was a fair call.
|
By:
ricky and paddy are correct
|
By:
Did you back my tip Badger.
|
By:
draw fair result cork had chance to kill it and choked!
|
By:
thought cork deserved to win tbh, and i layed them
dominant for long long spells around midfield |
By:
had 70 euro on the draw at nine to one, delighted. ref was bad and played for draw. great game to watch, very entertaining last 15 mins but a lot oif bad football played
|
By:
Chester I think we've seen some excellent stuff, the refs are doing their best to ruin it. They should take a leaf out of McEnaney's book at let things run. Maybe a bit unfair to blame them with the pressure they're under from HQ but they do have discretion and once the product is good ultimately it shouldn't matter. Rugby referees are very individual in how they ref but it's known about and accepted.
|
By:
good call ricky.
ref wasnt great but draw fair result. cork to win replay handy |
By:
what did the gooch score, anyone?
|
By:
replay next sat 3.30 cork!
|
By:
Fair play to Betfair for sorting out the GAA markets this week too.
|
By:
Scoobyknows - "draw fair result cork had chance to kill it and choked!"
Agree, and think its better for cork that they didnt hang on. Replay should do them no harm and give a chance to really 'beat' kerry rather than just scrapping over the line in a bad game. |
By:
cork def strong favs on sat, im slow to write off kerry though never much in these games and kerry need front door more than cork!
|
By:
had no bet on the match, but it was no foul on copper for kerrys equaliser. for the throw ball at the end if he gave the free to copper, kerry should also have got another free in instead of a throw ball.
there was also 20 secs left when cork got possession back, plenty of time to get the ball back up field. the GAA is a disgrace. playing for draws any chance they can. well done to all who won on the draw , but its frustrating to watch. extra time should be played all the way through the championship. it would put an end to this rubbish. |
By:
I think there is a big case for bring in ET for all games up to AI QF stage. It also hands an advantage so smaller counties which is good, they might overperform one day but not the next. Won't happen though for obvious reasons.
|
By:
Maybe provincial finals too but that would be it.
|
By:
they had a rule in the league that the ball must leave the field of play before final whistle, but scrapped it again for championship, refs have been ruining games so far this season!
|
By:
QF stage would be acceptable , but i'm sick of the GAA engineering draws every chance they get. If this happened in the FA cup or the Heineken Cup there would rightly be uproar.
|
By:
correction replay now on next sunday 3.30 in cork!
|
By:
Think its a bit unfair to say the GAA are still in the business of engineering draws-if you look at last year there were very few as the new format doesn't allow for enough time to re-arrange fixtures. If anything last year I felt refs were giving teams every chance to win tight games.
Having said that the system where there is a replay from the semis on is a bit unfair on Leinster teams compared to say Munster or Connacht where Cork for example are straight into a semi. |
