how can IR prices be manipulated if the x-matching BOT is switched OFF ?i don't get that one i'm afraid but i'd love to hear about it.
Because there will be bots looking to lay 100%+ books, which will be created by backing the horse that isn't with the field

rico, ok, did the player think it had gone in-play tho?? And the fact the 1.02 appeared for 100k means it was bot-linked and not all a manual effort.guess we'll never know the truth. the only person who may know (if it was a mis-click) probably washed up near Eastbourne.
To me that is the key point, the 100k 102 trade is clearly related(theres also big back bets 197 at 990 and 230 1000 suggesting similar amounts ) and suggests if someone was 'trying' to manipulate the market that they must have forgotten they would be laying at 1.02...and for 100k too :)
No way on earth and it suggest a mistake.
However it disturbingly does highlight that someone is willing and able to interact with the market at any price and for any amount of money even in lowly Southwell maiden where there will only be 25k or so traded in play
The other curiosity is that the volume of the bet is twice the market volume and that these races are only added to moneywise in the last few minutes before the off

what are these about then? and the screen states lpm 1.03. after the lump was swallowed up, someone (or something) is still betting a 1000 shot @1.03.
Could be bots registering a matched lay at 1.01 and put in a greening up back bet at upwards of 1.02 etc.

after 400,000 matched on said horse the projected BSP was still showing at 963. How can that be explained, supercomputer time lag?
From memory, projected BSP is only updated every 60 secs.
