went to watch grandson play footie at weekend and coach give blind cards out to help  raise funds, when I played it was those little 3 window fruit machine tkts which because we all lived neart each other besides from my gran ,my parents bought maj of them after days of begging by me, my dad also bought those football tkts in soft card and stitching round which you ripped off in a semi circle
football you got 3 no,s that give you 3 teams and had to get that Saturdays 3 highest scorers, but there was also a newsboy double tkt, where you got 2 numbers which I presume corresponded with the numbers of the 2 horses newsboy picked, but how did you win ?
just by getting no,s of horses
or did the horses then after win ?
or a rollover if they didn't
there,d have BEEN SOME ROLLOVER WAITING FOR DAVE **** TO PICK A DOUBLE OUT ON A SATURDAY LaughLaughLaughLaugh

Forum admin is USA based and maybe the first 4 letters of Dave's surmame are taboo.  If so, given the definition below, WALOFS..

A colloquial word used in Newburyport, Massachusetts at least before the Second World War (1939-1945), allegedly shouted from one naval ship to another to identify a resident of Newburyport. Also used to show both affirmation and disapproval ("yes," "no"); first word of the Newburyport slang-phrase "yeat the bun." Yeat can be used as a greeting, as a noun, an interjection, an adjective, and a verb.

does he still carry the NEWSBOY monikier and put up a NEWSBOY double on a Saturday  ?

Nick Luck refers to him as newsboy on his podcast sometimes...I think he still tips as newsboy in the Mirror...don't know about a double but he probably does..the Record used to publish Newsboy tips alongside Garry Owen tips...been so long since I bought a paper don't know if it still does..
