Richard Hughes @RHughesracing · 4h Enough is enough, the owner was on his way to see his horse run, he got stuck near Bicester on the m40 (check traffic reports)he got 12s and was very happy with that price.he always travels to see his horses.I respected his wishes by pulling his horse out - simple as that ! Hugh Taylor @HughRacing · 3h fine, but the owner being allowed to pull a horse out because he can't get to the race is a new one on me, as I said in my post, and I'm sure you can understand why some might think it sets a dangerous precedent

...Speaking to the Racing Post on Wednesday, Hughes defended the decision made with owner Robbie Rexton. He said: "People suggested what we did was underhand. Robbie Rexton is a very good owner of mine, he sponsors the yard, he always watches his horses and always loves going racing.
"He rang me and said 'Richard, I'm stuck on the M40 and can't get there' so he didn't want to run. I've since entered the horse at Wolverhampton on Monday but Robbie can't get there either so we won't run him.
"It's annoyed me a bit, you've all the trolls on Twitter. But that man pays £30,000 a year to keep that horse in training and enough was enough, it was a bit uncalled for in the end.
Nothing to do with it being backed in from 14/1 to 3/1 then, thankfully.

It has always amazed me, the number of horses that know, when they are going to Chester with a high draw, don't eat their breakfast in the morning to avoid the trip.

Halloween- the owner may have a prior engagement ducking apples so a danger he may duck attending the course and withdraw the nag again.
Bookies no doubt on red alert.
can't see it being bigger than 5/1 on the tissue.
won't be any 14/1 available early doors this time.

It does temper your enthusiasm, when the horse you like today is in the same race. There are a few in the race that could suddenly show improvement, granted BB has had a wind op which could make a big difference to the horse we have seen so far. I'm sticking with limegreentangerine. Will he really interesting to see how the betting goes.
At least he has got to 6.30 tonight to make the course, I'm sure he will set off early this time.

Either it`s a coo or their plan to get a big price next race worked. Would a brave gambler to back it again after last run but it might be the latter, so I`m in. Maybe get the Xmas money.
