will his son take over the license?

King George-winning trainer Shark Hanlon has had his licence withdrawn for ten months and been fined €2,000 following an IHRB investigation into the incident that saw an exposed horse carcass being pulled in a trailer behind one of his branded lorries in June.
The IHRB referral panel concluded that Hanlon had been negligent in his supervision of the matter and sanctioned him under rule 272, which pertains to licensed individuals behaving in a manner that is prejudicial to the integrity, proper conduct, or good reputation of the sport. Hanlon has leave to apply for the final five months of the licence withdrawal to be suspended on the condition he adheres to a number of provisions as set out by the IHRB. |

hopefully all the Irish expert pundits rally around him.

the drift on that one at Kilbeggan yesterday was alarming...
Rishi Persad laughed about it... Kev was straight in with the excuses. |

A very nice guy who has no problem giving you the time of day at the races and is happy to discuss if a horse is fancied or not.
The suspension is nonsense -the general public can't handle seeing a dead animal. When all you lads are tucking into steak and chips tonight think about where the steak came from -and the answer isn't Sainsbury's. |
By:
i always have fish fingers on a Friday tbh.

By:
Only 10 months? I'd give 18 months at least. Total disrespect for a dead racehorse.

By:

i heard someone say the other day that a fish supper is £10 these days ? only in #Jaywick |
By:
The tarp came loose. Would it have done if more attention was put on it eg a large piece of plastic (lining) used for outdoor pools.
|
By:
It's only going to be 5 months. Don't know why they bother quoting the ten months.
It's not about the public not being able to cope with seeing a dead horse, it's about a trainer not doing his job properly. Clearly they didn't either believe his excuse, or think it was a reasonable one. |
By:
if i paid £10 for a fish supper i wouldn't be able to eat for 9 days tbh Mr.Hunt.
|
By:
Will he git the same exposure as Elliott
|
By:
haggis n chips £7-99
|
By:
that would be 7 days without food.

Whoever initially posted the pic/video on social media should be banned for life imo.
For f***sake the animal was dead. Maybe the Monty Python skit about a dead parrot being nailed to it's perch should be banned! |
