I thought a new rule had come out were its up to the Stewards if someone falls off at the start to decide if its a runner or not.

Only if the horse was deemed to not get a fair start due to no fault of it's own/jockey.

You say this has gone on for 20 years , and have you done anything to try to stop it ? The main principal of betting is if you can't win , you shouldn't be able to lose. With the arrival of Betfair ( Which thank god it did , I was stopped over 20 years ago with all standard bookmakers) that principle seems to have gone out of the window .Gambling already has not the highest reputation in this country , and if those who already oppose it knew of the culture of ripping people off, by laying horses that are aleady fallen , injured , or just so slowly away they have no chance, has basically been facilitated by Betfair , then it can only get worse . Bad things happen when good men do nothing . If nobody complains why would anything change ? Fortunatly I end up the right side on here side on here , due to hard work .That doesn't mean I like to see people being ripped off ! One thing I will admit is it doesn't help that the Betfair staff who suspend betting , and settle too early when an Enquiry is obvious, are really not up to the job ! Also too slow re-opening the market when there is a Photo finish !

If you're going to allow i/r these things are bound to happen. Not sure why you think Betfair staff should always be quicker than all the shroodies on here. And how far do yout take it ? What if a horse is left 20 lengths ?

Blunder, most of the people who make money from betfair are IR players, who look to take advantage of situations like this and it's really a case of dog eat dog, they accept the time delays and the ones who want to be in front of everyone else pay for drone pics. They like the status quo as it is, not many want to put the work in that you are prepared to do.
   I don't know if you put in lay bets at a certain price to try to ensure a profit on your back bets but these delays are part and parcel of the reason the bets are taken, as the fast picture boys think your backed horse is beaten before you do.
   If they stopped the delays this whole site would probably grind to a halt and you'd be back to trying to get on with traditional bookmakers. Recreational punters who may want a more even playing field generally don't bet in large enough stakes imo to swallow up the IR (keep bet) money.

I'm not ashamed to say screw what happens to other punters be it due to either their own stupidity or maybe playing a game they don't totally comprehend or maybe failing to adapt to much needed change , this is a one on one gambling site ( supposed to be anyway ) so naturally it's look after No1 and tbf you need to think of the " opposition " as bookmakers you're trying to take advantage of to keep an appropriate mindset.

Well done making it pay as you see it to be the honest way blunder but tbf betting principles disappeared many years ago on both sides of the counter.
