Anybody know whether our cousins down-under have access to an equivalent of our Racing Post or daily newspapers which carry the days cards, probable SP's etc? I've seen lots of online sites which carry horse gossip and articles about horsey matters but none which show tips about the days racing. Don't Aussies go in for paper tipsters?? How do they manage without access to a Racing Post type selection box??

Daily papers have great coverage with form, tips and reports. Results pages have thumbnails pics of every finish. They put our papers to shame. Then again, racing is big in Oz, very popular and on the up.

No idea of the situation in other states nut in NSW 'racing' pays the papers to produce the superb racing coverage and also to maintain a positive coverage of racing throughout the paper

Australian sprinter Black Caviar, who came and conquered Royal Ascot in 2012, has died at the age of 18.

The mare, who had just given birth to a foal by Snitzel, was suffering from a severe hoof condition and was euthanized shortly afterwards.

She truly captured the hearts of her nation, going 25 races unbeaten throughout her career, including 15 at the highest level.

I have got to know the courses in Australia and the draw can be an important factor. However, beware...
