Emily Upjohn is the fav' for this atm around the 5/2 mark.
Drawn (10) but this could mean Shoemark could get her some cover early.LTO Bluestocking who beat her ran well when 2ND in the King George & the 3RD,Content,was arguably a bit unlucky when also rnr/up in the Irish Oaks.Good race this today & if she produces her best form will take some beating granted luck in running. I've had small e.w bets on Elmalka and See the Fire. Both should improve for 10f, Elmalka beig a half-sister to Benbatl and See the Fire's dam being a Group 1 winner at the trip. See the Fire's last four outings have all been in Group 1s incuding her last run when she had little chance against the colts in the Eclipse, her first try over 10f. Elmalka was never really travelling at Ascot last time, StF did travel smoothly, but still got to within 3 lengths of Opera Singer from a wide trip. I didn't think the Guineas was a fluke and 8/1 or bigger looks fair with the stable in decent form recently.

funny enough the wire ,am debating which one of those 2 for a 2nd bet can get 10s on here which looks fair so might end up with elmalka as well

If Emily Upjohn reproduces her run in the Pretty Polly, she'll win this race and quite comfortably too.. But she can throw in an explicably poor run and she can take a hold and race keenly, something that would work against her today with others in here who race up with the pace. So, I'm going for one who also ran in the Pretty Polly but who's a much bigger price in STAY ALERT.
There were legitimate reasons for her defeat in that race, the going was too soft for her but also I'm not sure what Egan was thinking letting her race so prominently when she needs plenty of cover and to be held up for a turn of foot. I'll expect her to be dropped out the back today and this course and quick going can play to her strengths. I've took the 29/30 on her which I consider is a very fair price for a horse that on her day is a very smart performer. I'm not as confident as I was on yesterday's selection but at the prices I've had to play. GL lads |

Cheers Foyles Good luck with yours.

I'd like to see her dropped right out the back today, Ash. There's plenty of pace on in here and she could come running late......

Porta Fortuna's top class, the Opera Singer wasn't far behind it and routed a decent field in the Prix Marcel Boussac.
not to be discounted. GL |

Cheers Foyles, Whippin. Thought she might get there for a moment. The French filly ran better than I was expecting but has been on the go since February so not sure how much more there is to come. Emily now six without a win and Stay Alert has not really reproduced the form shown when a bit unlucky in last year's Pretty Polly. Elmalka disappointing. The winner did it well and it looks like she will be asked to go up in trip again next time. well done hulk.
