ambiente freindly and los angeles 2nd and 3rd in the english derby dominate the betting here of the 2 i prefer los angeles but both are short enough and i can steer clear of the 2 of em at the prices , i like a couple here and grosvenor square was on the face of it dissapointing when btn at chester 1st time up this season but plenty of the yards seemed to need a race and he should have come on for that ,decent form last season and stoutly bred was 16/1 yesterday and that looked too big imo lightly raced and room for improvement might not have relished the tight turns of chester and this track could suit much better .
also like the look of matsuri who is jumping up massivly in class but they must have thought a good bit of him last season as he had an entry for this after winning at kempton over 10f and he was a very easy winner last time well bred and the step up to 12f should suit better and could be anything unexposed and progressing well .

sorry the kempton win was over a mile last season ,won at 10f this season at leicscter^^^
Quite an intriguing little race this Irish Derby. Although he wouldn't have beaten CoT at Epsom, Havlin took a bit of a pull on Ambiente Friendly at just the wrong time in the Derby (about 2½f out), unaware that Moore was mounting a challenge on the inside. I thought AF looked very good both in the Derby and the Lingfield trial and hoping to get some cash down on 7/4 at some stage today. Maybe Bet365 will super boost it...

good luck reg ,the derby form gonna be tested today ,i done a few quid ante post on the derby on grosvenor square so i had to have a few bob on him sods law and all that . matsuri could be outclassed here but when they are improving you dont know how good they can be.

I’m not sure that was team tactics because Ambiente was the one who benefitted from it and cruised right into it very stylishly.

Havlin gave AF a great ride, we now know horse is decent but was flattered in the Derby as just stayed on when asked to go and win his race today.
Can’t believe a son of Gleneagles is going to stay a stiff 12 furlongs.
