Los Angeles keeps them all waiting at the start. Euphoric does no favours to Macduff as the lids open. Then he piles on the pressure from the front with Los Angeles playing wingman. These 2 basically spread-eagle the field allowing Ryan to pick the gaps in the straight.  Neither LA or Euphoric were ridden to win.

Really? E was there to set the pace obviously, so what? Of course LA was ridden to win. Have you escaped your carer?

Every horse which runs in a race shall be run on its merits - maybe difficult for you to understand?

Nonsense. Pacemakers in plenty of races. You're just talking through your pocket.

There was an element of the two other O'Brien horses doing things to help City of Troy but they were still ridden to give themselves the best chance too. Euphoric has made the running previously and both were bred to stay so it made sense to make it a strongly run race. They did come slightly off the bend coming into the straight perhaps knowing that City of Troy would be on the inside from his draw so giving him more chance of a run through. However they didn't compromise their own chances of winning. Its also possible that they and others in the race were effected by the loose horse at the front and therefore opted to move out slightly to try and stay away from that.

I was a little annoyed after the race.

Another race where I called everything correctly and I’m just seeing dollar bills then complete sh it housery in the final furlong or so to finish 2nd.

In the wake of it I was annoyed with Havlin for thinking he was Paul Carberry and he was riding Harchibald in the Christmas Hurdle vs Rooster Booster…let the horse go for fox sake. Why are you waiting? You’re not Ruby Walsh…you’re Rab Havlin for fox sake lol

But watching it back…City if Troy won fair and square and was powering away again in the final 50…that horse got a 2nd wind.

Too strong. I respect that.

And to be fair to Havlin…he did a fine job keeping a lid on that horse pre race. Every trick in the book…that horse in the paddock was ready to explode but once he got on board it was brilliant.
