cracking  card 2 guineas for the price of one dont get much better tbh and very competetive and open races.  the pouliches  those at the front of the market have chances content has solid form in the book while  louise procter  romantic style  are progressing and could be anything but so could a few others at bigger prices and andre fabres  ROCK AND SWING  is unbeaten 2 from 2 and just the one run back end of last season whicjh suggests to me she is a bit of a late developer and showed she is going the right way with a comfy win 1st time up this yearn ,stepped up markedly in class today and others have better looking form in the book but we dont know how good this one can be and the trainer is a master in these group races. by camalot she will get further and will get the mile a lot better than some . i lie a few cracks in these type of races and ROHAYIA   wasnt btn far behind rock and swing over c&d last time and she is improving well bred and yard in good form lightly raced and was a shorter price than rthe fabre horse that day could be worth a ew pop .
the poulains and henry longfellow is short enough imo what with the in and out form of aidens and i can happily pass hiover at the price plenny with chances and i like 2 at bigger odds fabres  SUPERCOOLED IS PROGRESSING WELL HAS A BIT OF EXP WELL BRED AND WILL GET THE TRIP  a c&d winner who showed a good attitude last time one of 2 runners for the yard the 25/1 looks fair imo.
also one at a massive 80/1 last night and 66/1 generally ROSHVAR  has decent form and is getting better with exp and the price looks too big imo. yard in good form and 1 of 2 aga khan runners here the so called 2nd string ran well 1st time up behind supercooled not btn far and could get a lot closer today .
selections 14.50  rock and swing 14/1 ew bog & rohiya 33/1 ew bog ......15.30 supercooled 25/1 ew bog &roshvar  66/1 ew bog .good luck opinions encouraged.

Thank-you 'FOYLESWAR'. I knew I'd rely on you for a write up.

My selections are Louise Proctor (1000G), and Henry Longfellow (2000G). Both with English names and both trained by exceptional trainers ie Rouget and AOB respectively, and with good draws; the former has good form in this race.

No bet for me Foyles but AOB's seemingly negative vibes on the fav would play into your hands if taken at face value, however could this be the opposite of COT and bolt up? Not a strong race imo and the fav might not need to be fully wound up for the extra distance which even if there was a doubt about the trip is likely to turn into a 2-3 furlong sprint.

Good on you for original thinking unlike Ikeaman who has plagiarised the Racing Post almost verbatim to try and look clever and give the impression he has a clue, good luck.

'FOYLESWAR', I'm a lazy git, and this is the only way I'd manage a bit of interest possibly involving a treble or an acca; AOB's musing on Henry Longfellow does not inspire utmost confidence either eg "he's ready to start"....

I'll be watching elsewhere (no picture here though). Good luck to you. I hope your selections win for you; mine is only pittance for a bit of fund, as usual.

I thought there was some scope to have a go at the Pouliches. Don't think it's a great race, and the pedigrees are not fantastic.

I ended up going with two darts (with boosts), Tulipa Chope (28/1) and Rouhiya (near 45/1). Of the two I prefer Rouhiya. She showed a striking change of pace to break her maiden (three of the next four have won), albeit on the all weather. She ran well enough on her reappearance on ground that was likely much too testing. The more the ground dries the better. She hasn't got the best draw in 10, but it's a similar story for a few of the fancied runners. Tulipa Chope has a better draw, and should get a decent sit, just off the lead.

good luck all especially  diffdrum with rouhiya Wink, yes as we know these betterclass  french  races often slo then sprint and often traffic problems so plenty of luck needed and loads of hard luck storys post race . some good form on show from last season and a lot of unexposed improvers give the race a good betting shape im.

Interesting that Vespertilio's trainer sends here & skipped the 1000Gns.Got some
solid form in the book, can see her being played late has she seems to have a good
turn of foot to me.Travelled like a good filly when 2ND (GP1 Moyglare),4Ls back to
the 3RD & the 4TH in that,(Porta Fortuna) ran a screamer in our Guineas.
Gets a clear passage should run a big race today.
Around 12s here & 9-10/1 with the books mostly.

What's is the going today?  Was forcast a few days ago to be good to soft, how accurate is that?

Gave up on French racing, used to like it but poor tv coverage , lack of pre race paddock, leaves you just looking for pointers

Agree be a few  improvers  don't fancy anything tbh.

The ground could be riding on the fast side of good; the draw is also an effective decider of outcome. And, one cannot seriously take these two races too seriously on form given the non-consistent performances of British and Irish participants.

Nevertheless, nothing ventured, nothing gained so Louise Proctor and Henry Longfellow.

wether it pans out or not prob not going by the betting but roshvar looked way too big at 80/1 bills last night ,just over a length behind rock and swing last time and that one had a bit more exp so could get a lot closer today wether eithers form is good enough we will see but just looked too big .

Thanks Foyles good read as always, backed Folgaria yesterday expecting Holly be the first lady to win a classic in France.

Later in the 4:05 really like Making Dreams 7/2 for Karl Burke and Ryan Moore.

Good luck

Was really keen on Rose Bloom in the 1,000 but think stall 1 could be a nightmare so reduced my stakes.  Still backed it e/w at 22/1.

Rather than go each way I backed two in the 2,000.
Alcantor at 33/1 who flopped in the Craven, but the fact Fabre was looking at coming Newmarket suggests he thought it was a good one. And Beauvatier at 7/1 who just looks very solid.

Winning jockey said fast ground after first race.
Arab race looked like good going imo.
Think longchamp has changed a bit since redevelopment and just  reading the official statement...

The watering of the tracks has been differentiated to allow a better selectivity according to the activity, and the drainage between the false straight line and the elbow leading to the last stretch has been redone.

I kind of knew it had changed , what I read into that is posability of  false  patchy ground.

Overdrained and  watered to suit imvho.

Good luck Foyles…

I was finding it hard to find something I liked in the 2000 so skipped it.

But for the 1000 I decided on Tulipa Choppe eachway pretty quickly and I was just waiting to see if I could get +33/1 today but I was up late last night and saw that French ATR guy had put her up also so I took the 25/1 (that guy can spark some insane gambles).

Anyways he’s got a good write up her.

For me though…I just loved the way she carries herself in races and how she goes about getting it done.

She’s a tenacious one.

The first big question for me was whether she trained on or not…her performance in the Grotte was full of promise. They just crawled in that race so she had no chance of winning but she finished it really well.

I’m expecting her to be A1 cherry ripe for a career best performance today.

Which brings me to the main problem…is she actually good enough?

Well that’s where you got to decide for yourself and pay up or not lol

Looking at the early races it looks as if it you don't want to be coming from too far back. That might make it more difficult for those out wide who are restrained.
