Very surprised to hear that.

Did it on the equivalent day 8 years ago, that time as soon as Pumpkin sealed the championship. More valuable races to go for at Punchestown next week.

It's against the rules and he got fined for it, but there's no meaningful punishment to stop it.

just looking and he took one out of the 2nd to last and one from the last, pn took 2 out of the last
|
By:
Yes, Nicholls won the title by winning the Whitbread, so it was still live for the first 4 races that day.
|
By:
do you no what PN final total was that year or last yr ?
|
By:
Surely impaire impasse needs to race ?
|
By:
He did this before a few years back ie as soon as there was no hope of him winning he withdrew the remaining horses and sulked back home.
I don’t know if he will do this again but it’s sort of ruined the remaining card for me because you’re in a holding pattern waiting for him to make a decision. If you bet one of the others you could be left reeling by a brutal rule 4. Like when Alan King would leave Trueshan in the Gold Cup until right before the race even though it was never going to rain. |
