Are the stewards blind? Did they even ask the jocks to explain themselves? I would've dished out bans all over the place...
Following the race, Paul Townend reported that A PENNY A HUNDRED (FR), which started joint-favourite and was pulled up, ran too freely in the early stages; the Veterinary Officer examined the mare during routine testing and had nothing to report.
A Penny A Hundred - Always towards rear and well off the pace, well behind 9th, pulled up before last.
You'd never guess they were talking about the same horse in the same race. The jockey should have got a ban for taking the pi55.
