I think we could do with some input from the forum's resident jockey stats gurus at this juncture.

He tried a Dettori special there, out wide and then cut across, but unfortunately on this occasion it didn't come off.

Yes he could have done with a better start but i do think he is a top Jockey though.

Hate being an armchair jockey but given he was some way last out of the gate, and was then second when he moved over is telling me he used up too much engergy too early. Fine doing that if you break on terms but he didn't.

I’d file that away as slightly inconclusively.

May have been riding to instructions, horse might come on for that and probably wants further.

He needs a bigger f eck up is what I’m saying lol

He seems to me to be riding too quickly, i e nothing left at the finish, horse's have nothing left for the business end !

If he's riding on ''dead ground'', surely that needs to be taken into account ?....

Possibly went 50-100 yards too early in the 2.05 ! He needs to start riding winners !

Hyper critical if you ask me,he is giving his Horse every chance.

He looks good in a finish strong and well balanced i am sure the Big Winners will be flowing h.d .

Good ride there from Hollie, moved up and kept James Doyle in a pocket at the 2f marker and then got first run on him. It was the difference between winning and losing imo.

Believe it or not I met Shoemark at Wolverhampton....... just before his ban for taking the colombian marching powder !

He is a nice chap, I hope he proves me wrong !

I have met him a few times and he is a very nice young man.

Did the 1/4 shot look like he was going too fast to get to the front from an out side draw over 1m2f even with over 5 months since his last race? Well it didn't to me. Absolutely nothing wrong with the ride and I doubt that those criticising filled their boots in play laying the hell out of it. Either left a couple of gallops short or didn't get the trip. hth

Probably as good as anybody i think his mind is a bit fragile though.
