Gotta think Hendo will bottle this, although he's less in control of the McManus horses. If goes ahead though, I'd agree with Hayden. Mullins will pull the same trick he did last year with Energumene/Edwardstone.

Fabiola beat him so easily last March, struggling to see how Jonbon reverses the form personally.

Jonbon seems to have matured and certainly jumped better last time than in the past. Also, Nico knows the horse better given he rides him more often at home; El Fabiola could be chancy with one or two fences in his races.

Abandonement will save hendo but if it goes ahead wouldn't the pre race bet be a double for EF to win the CC and Jonbon to win the Ryanair

Looks like it's going to be very cold on Wednesday & Thursday nights, but not so bad Friday, which gives them a chance.

Temperature is forecast to be 6 degrees by 12 o'clock on Saturday. There is hope.

We're rubbish at moving cards FF. They are great at it in Ireland. People here always talk about catering/hospitality/staff as reasons it cannot be done.

Surely it would have been possible to move the all-weather card from Saturday to Friday, giving them a possibility to race on the jumps track on Saturday and Sunday.
We knew this week was going to be below zero everyday since last weekend.  Plenty of time to shuffle the cards about.

Impossible.i think if they run at a different  course all bets will be void  if they run it at another  Ascot  meeting  it will stand could be wrong.

Assuming will be same as reschedueled  Fighting Fifth .Totally new market for reschedueled race next saturday.

Only the Clarence House part be voided, if the bet however doesn't have the Clarence House specifically involved but was struck on a "festival" market on the basis of what might happen in the Clarence House then that bet will stand.

It's absolutely new market on Clarence House, if that wasn't the case Jonbon would have been heavy fav all week as we knew the meeting would be off and we knew EF wouldn't be going to Cheltenham next week.

Perhaps Editeur De Gite might run, he won the Desert Orchid last year before winning a re-routed Clarence House, although I can't remember if he was added or was an intended the week before at Ascot last year.

Thank-you all. Only a small acca. Nevertheless, the approach has taken by Hendo (especially) I find nauseating for horseracing. In the old days we'd have horses carrying top weights eg Desert Orchid against Panto Prince in prestigious handicaps. Now, avoidance being their main preoccupation prior to Cheltenham - the be-all-and-end-all.
