I've done absolutely nothing wrong and have had all my bets, going back months, voided. Nearly £2000 winnings confiscated. I have supplied them with all the documentation they required. Unredacted bank statement, front and back of card, passport, pic of myself holding passport next to my face.

Reason for account closure

An investigation has been carried out on your account and your bets have been voided as per the following terms:
32.1        Suspicious Betting refers to where We have reasonable grounds to believe that a bet or series of bets have been placed in suspicious circumstances. Suspicious Betting shall include, but not be limited to the examples below:

32.1.1    Where the same selection or selections are used an unusual number of times (in comparison with usual trading activity) in different types of single or multiple bets.

32.1.6    Where We have reasonable grounds to suspect that Prohibited Activity has taken place (see Section [13]).

32.1.7    Where We reasonably believe that bets have been placed from a location or device other than the location or device which You claim to be using to place the Bet.

32.2        Where We believe We have reasonable grounds to act upon suspicious and / or unusual betting patterns (by comparison with usual trading activity) as defined above, We may take the following actions:

32.2.1    Request further information from You as may reasonably be required by us to investigate whether the Bet or bets constitute suspicious betting. Examples of documentation requested could be copies of identification cards, bank statements, utility bill or copy of payment cards.

32.2.2    If You do not provide us with sufficient information, We may:
•             Suspend the account and all account functionality, including, but not limited to, bet management and withdrawal of funds or close the account.
•             Perform an investigation using reasonable endeavours, including but not limited to the use of various collusion, suspicious betting, fraud and cheating detection practises which are used in the gambling industry.
•             Suspend account activity during the investigation.
•             Cancel or void all bets deemed by Us to be suspicious or activate any other policy regarding accounts as covered in Our general Terms and Conditions.

32.2.3    Where there are an inconsistent and / or unusual pattern of bets (by comparison with usual trading activity) placed on the same selection or selections over a short period of time, and where We have reasonable grounds to suspect that the bets are connected Bets, We may limit the payment of winnings in respect of those suspicious bets to the maximum payout for individual bets on any particular market or markets.

13.3.2    Multiple accounts
One person having multiple Accounts, or where there are multiple Accounts under common control, whether in the player's name or another name, which may be used for playing more than one Account at the same time, taking unfair advantage of bonuses or promotions and/or concealing the true worth, nature or pattern of bets placed by You or on Your behalf.

13.3.4    Links to restricted accounts
If we identify that Your Account is linked to a restricted account, including by address, e-mail address, device or IP address.

13.3.16  Breach of terms
If You breach these Terms and Conditions in a material or serious way, or the terms of any promotional offer or bonus, including if You have opened more than one Account to take advantage of a promotion.

13.3.18  Use of bots or automated means
Where We have reasonable grounds to suspect that a bet or a string of connected bets have been placed robotically, by automated means, or in some way other than through the account holder placing each bet manually via their account.

13.4        In the event that We suspect that a player has carried out or been involved in any of the prohibited activities outlined in this Section [13], the remedies set out in Section [15] will be available to Us.

As you have already received your net deposit back in withdrawals there is nothing due to you.   Your account has been closed permanently.

Other than 'we will get back to you in due course' my efforts to resolve the issue before involving IBAS have gone unanswered.

For those saying i should have made a withdrawal after every win, with the beauty of hindsight i should have, however having had betting accounts since online gambling began i rightly or wrongly believe ones account, maybe not so these days, has more longevity if one doesn't make a withdrawal. For that reason i only make a withdrawal when the account becomes restricted.

Without sounding arrogant 2k makes no difference to my life, if it did i would have not had that much in the account before making a withdrawal, that's not to say i don't think 2k is an insignificant amount, especially to be stolen.

Have you tried resolver yet bin bagged or even asked for the return of your stakes at least from the voids?
Report bin bagged October 13, 2023 6:52 PM BST
No not tried resolver. The stakes would be from the winnings of void bets so they're not going to return them are they.
Report CagliariG October 13, 2023 7:08 PM BST
Not at all bin bagged, your original stakes have no bearing on whether won or lost, simply stakes on voided bets are returned always, even if bets in dispute!!
Report bin bagged October 13, 2023 7:13 PM BST
If all bets are void they will only return deposits.
Report CagliariG October 13, 2023 7:19 PM BST
No idea what you are talking about bin bagged, any bet made void means a return of the original stake for the bet, there is no get out clause as it is the same as a non runner!!!?
Report bin bagged October 13, 2023 7:33 PM BST
So you deposit £100 and put it on a 5/1 shot which wins and you now have £600, You then put £600 on another selection which loses. The book voids both bets. They're not going to give you £700 stakes back as they'll say they voided the first bet so you wouldn't have had £600 to put on the second bet.

A friend of mine took Ladbrokes to the SCC and they never showed up as they didn't have a leg to stand on.  IBAS ruled against him fwiw.  By all means use IBAS, but the problem with IBAS is you don't know what evidence the bookmaker in question is submitting, which may well be full of untruths and it's just going to delay things, which my gut instinct is what will happen in this instance.  Personally, if you can't resolve things with Quinnbet, I'd go straight to the SCC, if they have jurisdiction.

Quinnbet is the trading name of two gib companies and one in london as per the UKGC site. Just illustrating the difficulties of establishing who you are actually dealing with. You would have thought that the most basic regulator would insist that UK law pertains to all contracts and a UK address is available for service of legal notices. As an aside the RoI doesn't enforce gambling contracts.

Obtaining a County Court judgement against the likes of Quinnbet almost guarantees recovery of monies ordered by the Court even if they refuse to pay SQ. All that is required is a High Court Writ via the Sheriffs Office, doubtful they would not pay when bailiffs turn up, all costs involved also recoverable by the plaintiff. hth

I don't believe that is true.  I have known friends take this route against (not betting companies) suppliers and once the case is won, the court has done all the work - eventually they will, as CG says, send the bailliffs in - and all the costs of recovery are levied against the loser of the case.

As far as I can tell, they have in the near two decades of their existence, taken very little action in support of that objective. It has recently emerged that one of their licensees, GG Poker has had for an unspecified period had a huge backdoor in its software allowing hackers to cheat for $100ks. Complete silence from UKGC.

This i did and yesterday i received an email informing me they were sending my withdrawal via bank transfer. Awoke this morning to the funds in my account. Although i'd done nothing wrong i'd written the money off. I still haven't received a ruling from IBAS and why the whole thing has taken 6 months i don't know? IBAS told me just after xmas the person they were dealing with at Quinnbet had left the company and they were now corresponding with someone else. I took that as Quinnbet fobbing IBAS off. Anyway if i receive a ruling from IBAS, which i surely will, i'll post Quinnbets reasons for attempting to steal my money. I hope this gives hope to others who have had their money stolen. Trustpilot indicates there are quite a few.
