All the very best to Paul Hanagan. I looked hard at all of his rides during his glory years. I hope he finds a good job in racing.

A potential "jockeys race" on Friday?
|
By:
True Slippy. they won't be ganging up to stop him winning that's for sure.
|
By:
stop and winning, two interesting words to include here, about this one
|
By:
We all retire ffs
|
By:
I thought he'd already retired TBH
|
By:
Never quite the same after his bad accident. I wish him well.
|
By:
Probably the nicest guy in Racing good luck Paul.
|
By:
So on Sunday it will "NOT be that man again Hanagan"
What a cracking line the comms used to say when he had a winner. Cracking |
By:
Some people just walk away quietly after about 50 years ffs…..hard graft…..
|
By:
Wishing him all the best

Lad done well bearing in mind no racing background and didn't start until well into his teens ... not the best by a long way but champion jockey twice ... a classic winner; Eclipse; King George & other group 1s so not a bad cv which plenty of others would like to have had by the end of their career ... good luck on his next position
|
By:
He thanked the punter,respect…
|
By:
Obviously not u then
|
By:
Certainly not you ball head
|
By:
Thank you

Surely can't be a jockeys race for 120K If memory isn't playing up at this godly hour, Pat Eddery final ride was at Doncaster in a class 5, think it were last or second last in a 20 runner handicap, could be wrong though.
|
By:
This will not be a jockey's race. Too many jockeys. Too many pounds. It may well be this is Fahey's best chance of the meeting.
|
By:
People remember jockeys who go out on a winner but they are the ones who wait till they have a winner before announcing their retirement.
|
By:
Agree Ramruma, can't think of one top jockey who went out on a win before the race I'm a massive Henry fan so always glad when you post, just like ladycarla, jurys out, think that poster is a big Henry fan too.
|
By:
always come across as a humble and modest man, despite his achievements. Best wishes to him
|
By:
Best wishes Paul, a decent hard working jockey in his prime, don't think his move to Godolphin did him any favours really, good luck on your last ride.
|
By:
ARE WE ALL LUMPING ON HIS LAST RIDE IN THE 1.50?

I always felt Paul was a very good "Job" jockey about 15/20 years ago, and it just came to my mind that he rode the 1st horse that i put up on here as a fancy in 2006 named Schinken Otto for Jefferson, was 50/1 in the morning when i posted it and there was a gamble on the horse into 100/9 unfortunately it came 4th, happy memories though, gl Paul, a nice fella imo.
|
By:
Hilarious the way everyone was wishing him the best and the betting and ultimately the run said next time please.
|
By:
Don't think the market told us anything MJK , punters latched onto a final ride a couple of days ago and all the market did was correct itself when the proper market unfolded.
|
By:
Paul joined the Racing TV gravy train. at Redcar today.
