It seems that my finances need to be checked and unless I go along with this, my 'Budget Spend' (?) will be reduced. I've told the bloke on the chat thing to just close my account. So that's 22 years on here coming to an end. The Nanny State wins.
My thanks and best wishes to all those I've corresponded with on here over the years. I shall miss the betting and I'll miss the forum, but life goes on and some principles are more important than a betting account.

Shocked to hear this but maybe I shouldn't be. I don't deposit very often but £100 a month max is what I'm on. I believe they don't go lower than that but even if that sum was acceptable to you I suppose it's the principle. Your first books were outstanding and enjoyed the free one . GL.

Am in exactly the same position. 22 years of being able to manage your own finances means nothing to them. It’s crazy.
Your books were amongst the first I read when I was starting out in betting around 25 years ago, they were inspirational as there was very little other gambling literature around at the time. Good luck to you. |

Rico, What constitutes "continuously" because You are a 100% continuous winner in my book but you still got a call, obviously you were depositing at the time but the bigger picture showed a winner. I know you sorted it in the end but the initial call still came.  I'd just love to know what my personal threshold would be before I got a call, if I thought it wouldn't draw attention to myself I'd phone them to ask  |

my advice is if ewe win withdraw as little as is needed..win what ewe like but if you make a few deposits its tiggers the cistern to investigate.

not necessarily losers..my lifetime is +millions yet last year i had a loss and deposited 5000..next day email saying unless prove funds im restricted to £150 a mth.

Binge gambling Enhanced assessment: £1000 net loss per rolling 24-hour period, £500 net loss per rolling 24-hour period [under 25] In addition, positive net position in preceding 7 days may be taken into account |

The only thing that is interesting in the consultation is that they say that you should be allowed to bet, but not deposit when an assessment is triggered. So they *shouldn't* suspend accounts if you ignore them.
