this looks much more straightforward than the colts version yesterday and tayhira the very short priced fav and most likely winner after a very good 2nd to a race fir mawj in the 1,00 gns at newmarket 3 weeks ago ,clear on the ratings and around 2/5 it looks a penalty kick on paper and her odds tell us she is the likeliest winner .but not hard to assume she had a hard race in the gns and only 3 weeks to get over it and at the price i have to take her on . plenty of others in here with chances if the fav comes up short and the aob reps need respecting but the one i am most interested in is jessies ETERNAL SILENCE  who was 6l behind tayhira and meditate in the moyclare and seemingly has a mountain to climb here being a maiden but that was a very good run imo and jess has said she was a big bull of a horse last season but has filled out her frame well and they seem very happy with her the extra furlong should  suit  and she is a big price .running a maiden in this shows to me they think a lot of this filly ,will she be good enough who knows but at 50 plus on here and 33s bog books you dont have to put much on to find out . its all about price to percieved chance imo and she has a better chance than her odds suggest imo.
selection ETERNAL SILENCE 50 PLUS ON HERE AND 28/1 BOG FIRMS WIN PLACE EACH WAY GOOD LUCK OPINIONS ENCOURAGED.

todays ground should hopefully suit eternal silence much better .

the fav is obviously gonna be hard to beat but that mawj is a battler and no way did she have an easy race not saying she wont win but she will need to be equally tough.

Looks like one of those races which is a nice shape for the exotics, Foyles. A short priced fav which ought to win if running to form, and a few apparent no hopers. You'd favour Meditate returning to form and framing, but also possible it hasn't trained on after a very busy 2yo campaign.
Report FOYLESWAR May 28, 2023 2:27 PM BST
yes cider my thoughts with meditate but a genius trainer and you cant rule her out but a bit short given the doubts ,weld running another aga khan horse maybe he feels a plan b could be handy ?

Was a precocious 2yo and was on the go all season. No ground or distance excuses LTO. Obviously it is the Moore AOB axis and could easily bounce back and win this, I'll be interested to see what Ruby says about her in the ring.

Meditate for me
Shocked

i like a few bites of the cherry at decent odds and aobs jackie o was a decent winner on debut then the heavy going and 2f step up in trip may have been too much too soon ,these conditions could suit better and this well bred lightly raced type should progress and could run a big race here .i have added her at 34 and 32 on here and 3 places.good luck.

Tarawa and You Send Me I'm including in a few of those exotic stabs. A few of these have not seen quick going as yet, and quite unexposed.

good luck cider!

When was the last classic in which none of the runners won last time out? I shall just be watching on.
Report FOYLESWAR May 28, 2023 3:53 PM BST
shes a good tough filly no question well done winners .
Report Cider May 28, 2023 3:59 PM BST
Tarawa a bit unlucky in the run, might have been second but the boring market order 1-2 in the end.
Report differentdrum May 28, 2023 4:02 PM BST
Looked a mess of a race with the third at a huge price fast bearing down on the front two, and the fourth also passing the line with plenty left in the tank having been given no chance by Lee. Not sure what Walsh was waffling on about, but Tarawa looked the one to take out of it.
Report Cider May 28, 2023 4:10 PM BST
Yes you have 2nd/3rd strings of the front two not trying to compromise their favoured runner's chances, and the rest of them thinking they are playing for the pieces. Keane on the other one I had interest in was originally keen and then he let it stride on eventually but it was all a bit after you sir. The winner wants a faster pace tbf, the runner up is the flattered horse.

Just had a look and Comhra is a full sister to a 1m6f winner. You have to worry about the jock, but 25/1 for the Irish Oaks looks a fair price.

Can anyone remember which firm was offering 8/13 on Tayhira for this race, just after the Newmarket guineas?

I backed her but can't remember where now Crazy
Report Platini May 28, 2023 4:48 PM BST
13/8, rather Crazy

Hayes was a lucky boy that it was Lordan on the O'Brien rag. There's no way would Heffernan have moved aside and let him through.
Report impossible123 May 28, 2023 6:46 PM BST
Only two were quick off the block with prices post Newmarket. One was 'sly' at 7/4, the other Unibet.
