Stunk the place right out, dont ask me why but i feel sorry for connections they talked the horse right up and to see him run that bad was just plain embarrassing.I dont want no bullsh1t excuses either....If he was mine his balls would be gone Tomorrow.

Maybe hype

Maybe better up a straight course

I cannot have the form of either 2000G. A 1-2 here, and last and 3rd last at Newmarket for AOB. Can the judgement of AOB be so far off on the pecking order of his charges? I do not think so.

2k form looking bang average already and two of them making relatively quick appearances.
The AOB filly could be the star of the show IMO.
3yr old scene needs summat to make it look jiggy.

Why would - 'talking the horse up' - make it run any better?

Paul Cole has been guilty of the same for many seasons now .

He is still living in the - GENEROUS - glory days era .....

But - ONLY in HIS mind.

Must be deluded to swap crowley for Spencer for starters!!!!!! Ffs

The horse has 2 bits of form that suggested he was very good. A close second to Chaldean in the Dewhirst and an "unlucky" third in the 2000gns but it seems that either the travelling didn't suit him or he can't take 2 high class races in 3 weeks. Hi Royal, Charyn and Galeron broadly upheld the Newmarket form but Paddington vs Chaldean should be interesting. We are looking at some very inexperienced horses here so it is not surprising that some will come forward while others don't. Royal Scotsman was trained for Newmarket and needs a break before racing again.

Hi Royal is a really nice horse and I would never have had RS beating him anyway. I haven't seen Paddington but Chaldean is a handy size looked like a complete horse on Guineas day. If P improves at all he should beat him at Ascot. I think Little Big Bear would beat them both if they tried but they will probably stick to sprinting with him.

Paul Cole, last Group 1 winner twenty years ago - Mr Dinos in the Gold Cup.

Aidan O'Brien, last Group 1 winner six months ago.

Even Gaze could spot that mug favourite.

The horse was way too keen through the race with zero cover, was a spent force in the straight.
Report brigust1 May 28, 2023 1:41 PM BST
RS looks like a horse who is one paced. He looks good running past weakening horses after a strong pace. I don't know the sectionals from yesterdays race but if they didn't go a strong pace from the start then quickened it in the second half of the race he would be done for speed.
Report formoftheace May 28, 2023 2:17 PM BST
Probably win a weak race somewhere
Report GEORGE.B May 28, 2023 3:04 PM BST
the overall time was a relatively poor one and they seemed to go steady early

(though the sectionals may tell a different story)

but I suspect the last two furlongs would have been the quickest quarter of the race
