Only VC had the courtesy to close my account, most of the rest just make you cease trading by offering pennies.

Don't need a personal bookmaker a/c aside from placing Grand National bets for the wife , formed a syndicate just over 15yrs ago using a radius of 11 to 187 miles with just 5 ex-working colleagues , utilizing online and shops.
Betfair a/c + syndicate satisfies all my needs. |

Laddies and Spoilsports totally.
Restricted to pennies with Be*way. |
By:
All of them !!!!!
|

They don't even shut you down. They restrict you so they can keep you as a "live" punter in their books and obviously if they close your account you can't play those lovely slots
If they restrict you, close the account and ask for all data to be turned over |

I still have the letters…all phone betting accounts .................... Different game really, now it's easy to limit to pennies online without taking up phone operators time listening to abuse. I had a lot of phone accounts closed long ago. |

Never been closed down, although I did close down my Spoilsports account off my own back after they welched on a winning bet. The rest just run you down to pennies, or take away BOG etc. Thank god for here. It has its foibles but by far the best option.

Most of them just wore me out by offering pennies but those that I can remember actually closing me were Boils, Laddies, Willie and Paddy
|

If you include those who restricted me to £1 or less, 9. After that I didn't even bother with Betfred. Victor Chandler sent me an email (when i opened my account) saying that they really wanted me to succeed. After 3 winners from 5 bets (all favs) they closed my account due to "betting patterns".

Some of them closed me down for just breaking even!
The only one who I can understand closing me down was Bet365. This was because I had noticed that before the very last race in the evening, at about 20 minutes before this race, they would stop moving their odds until the on course odds came through (10 minutes before the off in those days). Presumably they went for a cup of tea or did stock taking at that time. It was money for nothing. |

One, VC. I took advantage of the free subscription to RUK (as it was then) by placing 10 £5 bets each month on favourites between evens and 6/4. I broke even over 12 months, and they removed the offer. I closed the account. **** sort of closed me down by making it very complicated to deposit any new funds so I packed them in as well.

Gone are the days of tax free in Gibraltar when there was a 10% tax here. Never refused a bet and my biggest win was £2000 plus on an acca. Those were in the days when you spoke to the guy who was standing the bet, not some £12 an hour clerk. **** means purple.

Three. Vic first, obviously. More interestingly Ladbrokes and Corals but only after they took a combined view.

ricardo sez f4rty can have what he likes on as fckn hopeless guesser.

has anyone not been restricted to pennies by boils ? i think to maintain an unrestricted account with this lot you would need to have an extremely unhealthy betting pattern, eg backing losers with him at 11/4 when its 6.8 here.

I cant get a bet on for luv nah money, anyone stick a placepot on for me later
|
By:
vc still my favs. opened an account saturday morning, 4 bets first one running 230.
email from them at 130 (hour before first one lost (they all lost)) - no more bets thank you. one account, 4 bets, 4 losers, account closed. |
By:
they must have shortened..
|
By:
they did. i like to tell this story as some people think they'll empty you if you win. if you're betting under the odds and winning he's ok with that, you'll lose eventually.
if you're beating the price and losing you'll still get gubbed. cos long term you'll win. so forget if the horse wins or loses, he's purely looking to see what price you got. |
By:
Bookies lol, there are no bookies anymore on the internet, i'm allowed to put more money on a joke horse race in a penny arcade than i'm allowed with those who call themselves bookies.

Had a telephone a/c with Bet365,when they gave a free bet up to £50 if you had a winner over 4/1 sp .This worked well for me until i took up an online offer and within a week i was reduced to penny bets. Similar thing happened with Jennings ,reduced to pennies for using their offers ! Also paddy power,Boyle sports and skybet. They only want mug money.
