Could be because we can’t see the colour of the person typing on the other side of the screen?

Probably a majority of Flat racing yards employ minority staff in their yards but it is owners who decide on jockeys. It will happen but slowly. I am a bit surprised that a few more don't come through the racing schools. Ability does matter in all sports though and the white athletes in our 16 strong Athletic sprint relays looked out of place. That is because the best sprinters are black and get selected.

The BBC are currently gunning for English women's football and Scottish cricket, give it time.
|

Just to confirm I am not saying it should happen, in fact I have argued against it on here, but given what is happening these days, I am just surprised that up to now it seems to have escaped.

Don't see many black javelin throwers...or even discus or shotputters for that matter
|
By:
You need to watch more athletics, a black guy won the gold medal in the javelin on Saturday, silver was a guy from India.

They let the David Evans owned/trained Jungle Bunny slip through until social media 'flak' resulted in a name change to Jungle Bells.

Racing is still a minority sport for most like Speedway and Bowls which let's be honest are even less ethnically diverse.
|

Is this the "without Ken Pitterson" thread?
|
By:
I thought Scottish cricket was a minority sport, but it seems to be getting more coverage out of a racist story than actually playing cricket.
|

You will struggle to get an article or TV news item published these days without a woke angle. The only thing that seems to matter in the leadership debate is the school they went to now that we have a female vs an Asian.

By:
have to say im shocked that scotlands cricketers barely got a mention when they thrashed nepal by 8 wckts but are now all over the media for being institutionally racist, makes no sense to me

Going off track but in those 448 examples did the perpetrator just admit to being racist or did they just accept the accuser's version? Why did they pick these players in the first place if they were so racist? I can think of quite a few examples in the 70's where players were not picked for the England football team purely because the manager didn't like them. Not much they could do about it. Maybe similar happened here? They were happy to quote Rafiq as some sort of hero without reference to the fact that he was exposed himself. When it comes to any potential racist it is one way traffic on Sky and BBC. The other thing they were is saying is that they didn't want any money out of this? Really? So why is a solicitor involved, don't money and solicitors go hand in hand?

Guilt by accusation is only accepted when it fits the woke narrative.

I think they threw the good out with the bad at Yorkshire, 6 of the 16 sacked coaching staff are suing. The tenure of the new Chairman who sacked them is questionable so he might be personally liable for damages. It's kicked off proper.

NBA is racist against white pipo, they are vastly underrepresented.

they can't jump

Even in England the countryside is almost entirely white, so there's not much reason for a lot of racial diversity in racing. You do get agitators like Apiafi, but racing will always be less diverse than the rest of England. Of course, race is only treated as a problem when it's white people succeeding, when we fall behind it's treated as natural. It's not an attitude anyone should accept but the vast majority of people basically go along with it.
|
By:
Yes Wesdag, but when you use the same logic in other sports it will be racist.
|
By:
I concur.
Wokists always try to use racism to explain when blacks don't feature. England women's football team most notable example. Almost like Alex Scott, Rachel Yankey, Eni Aluko, Nikita Parris et al never existed. Racism only a factor now there's no black players? |
By:
they will come for racing eventually, nothing we have a traditional cultural affection for is safe. there's gold in them there hills.

Scottish Curling Team be under scrutiny soon the way things are going.

Sorry about the double post.
Thought the first had been censored took that long to go up. |

Probably moan when handed the Broom.

By:
Simple, the SNP don't have any say or influence on the British racing industry.
And for that, we should all be very thankful. |

The racism activists will be along one day, thats virtually guaranteed here in the UK.

The Scottish board Resigned, not an act I personally would have made if I thought I hadn't done anything wrong.

Given the number of Asian stable lads in Newmarket and elsewhere, it is a legitimate question why none have become jockeys.
|
By:
Any ethnic minorities I see at racing are working or at least getting paid. You won't see any / many paying spectators amongst them.
