I haven't seen that many but it was Deacon Blue in the Castlegate Aberdeen about 12 years ago. The were superb. It was Hogmanay I may add. Your choice?

Didnt we do this a few months ago.

Mine is still the Savoy Brown Blues Band, opening for Jethro Tull at the Dome Brighton in 1970.

Just thought of another thoughm again 1970, or could have been 1969 - Steamhammer at the National Jazz and Blues Festival held at Plumpton, yes really!!!.

Just to add value to the Savoy Brown Blues Band, or maybe devalue my taste.  My live gigs include Creams last, Hendrix three times. the Stones (Hyde Park et al), Led Zepp, Pink Floyd, Cap'n Beefheart, Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, with and without Sandy Denny, Rory Gallagher in Taste and without. Not a bad quick list but them I am oldCool

Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.

What a superb choice sparrow. The original. Peter Green was Fleetwood Mac. Too many songs to mention. That choice cannot be beaten imho.

I was never much of a fan of Bruce Springsteen but there was a spare going in our group to see him at Wembley stadium, July 4th 1985 and I thought what the hell, I'll go.

It was easily the best live performance I've ever seen, he absolutely rocked the place senseless.

You're correct there Longbridge, it was that tour indeed.
Like others on here I've seen lots of top bands but that concert was way beyond any other.

On a lesser scale I've  seen Carter USM many times at the Brixton Academy and always loved seeing them live as well.

I spent the weekend at the Isle of Wight festival in 1970 and there was some great music, but Chicago and Jethro Tull stole it.

Tavares , Temptations  , Four Tops  , about four years ago.  The songs and music carried them but it is probably my best night out ever not counting Liverpool Football Club success's..
