There is no set pension amount in Germany, it depends on average earnings and yearly contributions. Health insurance may also not be included (depends on circumstances).

As Foxy Top pointed out, monthly salary deductions are high, as is health insurance (comulsory). As guidance i pay 912 euros per month although i this is for 'freelance' rates.

8k is laughable

There are many many people on UC and jSA who would dream of 8k a year - I suggest you take a look at that sort of thing elsewhere as well and judge just how much we are ripped off in this country. It's laughable that people actually think Europeans come here for our benefits system - they are slightly easier to get but a hefty amount less.
