A new form book? Tell me where I went wrong with the form.
The winner has improved hand over fist, being raised around 20lb by the handicapper. Even giving the 2nd 8lb, I still thought it was a good thing. . The 2nd has a habit of jumping right, so safe to assume it would around here. There was an if about it staying, as it always runs like that, tbf ,it stayed on better than I thought. The ground turned quick ,which maybe went against the winner who is by far the better stayer.

Yep , ratings are irrelevant... loads of other factors to consider in hunter chases. It's all there if you look....But you have to know what you're looking at.

Steward don't really know what they're looking at lol.
Mr Bradley Gibbs, the rider of FIER JAGUEN (FR), placed second, was suspended for 2 days on dates to be notified by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for using his whip above the permitted level from the third last hurdle. Mr Tristan Durrell, the rider of the winner GATS AND CO, was suspended for 4 days on dates to be notified by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for using his whip above the permitted level from the second last hurdle

The stone cold certainty got up in the last 3 strides, so something didn't work out, i.e. form from PTPs is hard to weigh up, or Fier Jaguen is improving fast at 7, very possible, either way too much guessing at play.

You have to know to the p2p ratings....official ratings mean nothing in hunters.. as they never run to those ratings for reasons i have already explained to you..only been doing it one way or another for around 40/ 50 yrs... so I do have an understanding about them. One of these days it might just click.

Swift, I don't think alot have been cancelled, but fields are desperate. Maybe due to the amount of pro trainers running their horses, which never used to happen, Well not as frequently as they do now.

so,if an established h/cap chaser that been running consistently off marks around 150 goes into a hunter chase 3 weeks later and is in a 2 horse race against another h/cap chaser thats been running consistently from marks of 90 and they are level weights you're saying the official h/c marks are irrelevant?

Original poster who has tipped up a succession of rubbish now celebrating a head winner at 4/5 that he implied had loads in hand. Less shame than Boris. Threads are comedy gold.

Recorded from last night and just got around top watching as my money on it. Fantastic never say die ride from Mr Tristan Durrell; Gats And Co well inconvenienced by that horse running around in front of him most of the straight.
