A disgusting slur from the forum loony!
Report jackkat April 3, 2022 11:35 PM BST
Yep coz he wants to throw the game so is daughter will be crying in the seats "what is he really up to" I've seen some bad posts on here but that must go top 3 all time

In his defence he's nearer fifty than forty and I suppose that tiredness must play a part with his game nowadays.  To be fair they all miss some easy pots at the most unlikely of times.

John Higgins was banned from snooker for 6 months in 2010 after allegedly agreeing to lose frames in 4 different snooker matches.

He was to be paid 260,000 pounds for fixing the games.

Think most people know that BB and he was punished for it,(some may say not strongly enough), but to imply that he deliberately through this match after playing brilliantly to go 9-5 up keeping Robertson in his seat for frame after frame is ridiculous.
Robertson was beat and able to play without any pressure and played his natural game to win frame after frame to draw level as Higgins buckled under the pressure of getting over the line, yes he missed an easy pot in the last frame and Robertson kept his nerve to win the match, a fantastic come back.
Anyone thinks that you shouldn't miss easy pots, should rematch the S Davis and D Taylor final.

100% SR but when you have history, you will always be in the line of fire. There are a few jockeys who receive similar criticism on here for their past exploits,

stewarts rise is correct ,i am no fan of Higgins as a person ,but there was nothing dodgy about last night ,his game just colla[sed under the pressure.
Report BARROWBOY April 4, 2022 10:53 AM BST
If he did throw the match he should get an Oscar, looked shell shocked absolutely devastated at the end.
Report BARROWBOY April 4, 2022 10:57 AM BST
Robertson had all the momentum & what had happened to Higgins in earlier finals this season probably didn’t help his state of mind.
Report Slicer April 4, 2022 11:32 AM BST
There will always be lingering doubt about Higgy's performance considering his history. Unlike horse racing where we all know that the game is as straight as Lombard Street in San Francisco.

Well, the Sun seemed to catch him out all those years ago agreeing to throw frames/matches, but the defence was that he was simply discussing how you would go about doing it, and since it was the so-called Fake Sheikh who was doing the quizzing, he got away with it -  that's to say he was only banned for 6 months by the WBPSA, having been cleared of match-fixing.

Actually, it was the now defunct News of the World.
Report differentdrum April 4, 2022 12:00 PM BST
Higgins has had an horrendous run of losing in finals, and it appears he can no longer trusted to get over line even if he has a 5 frame cushion. You could see that he was shot to pieces.

Report stewarts rise April 4, 2022 12:54 PM BST

Report greedkillsmybankagain April 4, 2022 12:56 PM BST

Report Hayden April 4, 2022 1:19 PM BST
Yes was 1.01 for hundreds but 1.02 and upwards for thousands.
