Yes brilliant after 18 months but still stand by my earlier statement, day 1 will be his best day, be some aches and pains tomorrow, Augusta a hard course to walk with injuries, would love to see a under par round tomorrow though.

Played exceptionally well today but I got a feeling it will be a different story tomorrow, with the wind and the course firming up and having to recover from today. Would still be astounded if he makes top 10

All things considered that was a quite remarkable sub-par opening round by Tiger Woods, given what he has had to overcome this last year or so. Sure he had to scramble on a few occasions, but his putting was pretty solid on those tough greens. Chipping wasn't maybe his best but only one real horrowshow of a tee shot.
He's clearly well up for it although hard to see him winning. He's got the experience and mental to hang on in there though even when the inevitable Augusta double-bogey arrives. Apart from maybe Bernhard Langer there can't be a player in the field with more Augusta know-how.
Could be a very interesting weekend for those with financial investments on the Woods performance.

It is Dave. Im only in for smallish stakes and trying to back a little back to ease liabilities but cant get much matched, even though Im at or near the front of the queue

Ran out of gas, he looked drained on 17 yesterday.
Likely had be played better his concentration would have been better, but not top 10.
Well done layers.

Weather against him too, I always thought him beatable in cold and wind, even in his prime.
So I guess he turns up again next year, talks up his chances, and he hopes he's still around when charlie qualifies by winning us amateur...
