Got the nod from our greyhound man tonight but I'll hold firm at present. That's two horseracing men, a greyhound man, a football man and a Us sports/golf man.


I wanted two more but was out voted 1-4.

I suppose that makes sense as it would not have been a case of the more the merrier the way we operate. As long as all five are in agreement I can stick one up as long as it doesn't affect the price if we all agree with one.

I would have done this sooner but when I mentioned a forum I received many a PM. I just couldn't accommodate them all.

That said, I know their real names and addresses and vice versa.   


All has now been tweaked and so far so good.


No doubt there will be a few bad days but we don't follow each other in.

Not me elise. Not much interest in the game but if given the nod by somebody who knows the score.....and at a decent price I become interested. If thereabouts in the final round I'll probably take the easy option.

Hi Stewart b, I have to agree that is is a lot easier to identify potential lays that it is winners. No argument about that. The next question is: How to Lay them profitably. bearing in mind some of the Odds on offer?
The way I approached it was to make use of the infamous 'Maria's' approach - and so far it seems top be working. I have made one adjustment to her way of doing things and, to date, I am making a steady profit (even on days when I lose to odd one).
I was thinking of publishing my selections on here but then had second thoughts because of all the nay-sayers.
Let me know how it is going after a month or two.

Prices below 3.5: lay to 1% of bank - you lay 10 pts, your liability under 25 pts
Prices from 3.5 to 7.4: lay to 0.6% of bank - you lay 6 pts, your liability 15 to 38.4 pts
Prices from 7.5 to 11: lay to 0.4% of bank - you lay 4 pts, your liability 26 to 40 pts

Wasn't the whole Maria thing just another scammer/tipster that was after-timing prices?

I never understood all the fuss at the time - it looked like somebody pretending to lay horses at prices that were long gone and/or never ever existed to a worthwhile stake in the first place - pretty much like most of the revered tipsters of today.
