Perfectly timed challenge if the horse was good enough , wasn't gaining a jot in the final 50yds
You fully expect these threads though when a shortie gets beat.

Hayden...he was so far out of his ground that he used his energy to get close but had no more to give on the last 100 yards Why do people always try to defend sh!te rides?

hate to critisise jockeys as it always sounds like pocket talking but even a blindman could see that was a bad ride, was asking a horse with a penalty to quicken up in the style of a group horse. always out of its ground.

saddo 28 Mar 22 17:52 Agree with Hayden, was losing ground on the winner the last fifty yards, if he'd gone earlier he'd have weakened sooner.
Mad this comment, he could have sat closer for the majority of the race "for free" before he had to make his ground, as it was, making all that ground up comes at a cost and he had used all his energy up before he got there

I was surprised to see the leader have such a break on them as he was crawling, but the winner realized just into the straight and closed up, at this point Norton quite clearly was still just sitting there doing nothing, you'd think that he had thought that they'd gone quick and was waiting for them to fall in a hole, as it was it was no surprise that the horse that led was still there at the end.

go up to the commentary box and see if he's interested in your nonsense appraisal.
cos he didn't know what norton was playing at. and he watches races every day.

Love the way commentators and pundits are slagged off on a daily basis on this forum , then miraculously one of them agrees with a forumite so all of a sudden they are judge and jury

All gone a bit Will Smith this one, I backed franny here, and was disappointed with his ride. Closer he is to the pace, the better chance he wins. Lost that crucial bit of kick bridging the gap.
