Absolute shocker

bloody awful

By:
Not sure he wanted that
|
By:
He should retire, hopeless effort
|
By:
Perfectly timed challenge if the horse was good enough , wasn't gaining a jot in the final 50yds
You fully expect these threads though when a shortie gets beat. |
By:
holding it up 10 lengths behind frank. when did that start being a good idea ...
|
By:
Hayden...he was so far out of his ground that he used his energy to get close but had no more to give on the last 100 yards
Why do people always try to defend sh!te rides? |
By:
hate to critisise jockeys as it always sounds like pocket talking but even a blindman could see that was a bad ride, was asking a horse with a penalty to quicken up in the style of a group horse. always out of its ground.
|
By:
Because it's all subjective opinion.
|
By:
Hayden , what race were you watching ?
|
By:
racing look after their own, you rarely hear a commentator questioning what a jockey is playing at.
you did there. |

5.30 Newcastle

If he had sat 2 lengths closer when there was no pace on, he wins easily.
The ride from Hardie on Broken Rifle was even dumber. |
By:
Indeed - How could - -23313 Broken Rifle
Be beaten So FAR 'out of the first 3' - when it was so proven at the Trip? |
By:
Agree with Hayden, was losing ground on the winner the last fifty yards, if he'd gone earlier he'd have weakened sooner.
|
By:
Race time
Time: 2m 16.76s (slow by 10.46s) What do you reckon to that Hayden? |
By:
crawling along, 10 lengths behind the main danger. good luck if you think that was a decent ride ...
|
By:
Thanks Hulk , anyway we move on.
|
By:
Hayden ... even frank took a look round to see where the clown was

Agree with Hayden, was losing ground on the winner the last fifty yards, if he'd gone earlier he'd have weakened sooner. Mad this comment, he could have sat closer for the majority of the race "for free" before he had to make his ground, as it was, making all that ground up comes at a cost and he had used all his energy up before he got there |
By:
they were going that slow he could have closed up behind Spencer early doors with minimal effort. just made no sense where he had it.
|
By:
I was surprised to see the leader have such a break on them as he was crawling, but the winner realized just into the straight and closed up, at this point Norton quite clearly was still just sitting there doing nothing, you'd think that he had thought that they'd gone quick and was waiting for them to fall in a hole, as it was it was no surprise that the horse that led was still there at the end.

crawling along, 10 lengths behind the main danger. was never at any stage more than 4L behind it..was 1L behind 1.5f out..wasnt gaining last 100yds...i hope you dont exagerate your peenis size this way. |
By:
go up to the commentary box and see if he's interested in your nonsense appraisal.
cos he didn't know what norton was playing at. and he watches races every day. |
By:
The horse he gave the lead to,he ended up beating.
Judged the pace with that one right, just done by Spencer's horse at the end. |
By:
Love the way commentators and pundits are slagged off on a daily basis on this forum , then miraculously one of them agrees with a forumite so all of a sudden they are judge and jury

All gone a bit Will Smith this one, I backed franny here, and was disappointed with his ride. Closer he is to the pace, the better chance he wins. Lost that crucial bit of kick bridging the gap.
