I'm not sure duffy but it must be a disadvantage, horses involved in the finish in that last race all raced fairly prominently.
Anyone else remember 1981? Meeting was nearly called off after a very wet winter. We get half an inch of rain and the ground is worse than when flat bred Sea Pigeon won the Champion Hurdle. Absolute joke.

think the point is the supposed micro climate guru,s who run chelt,thought 8 hrs of torrential rain was going to skirt around chelt and miss the course,COC saidv earlier the map fcast showed it missing chelt,

The paddock showed that it would have been heavy without watering. Assuming he did not water the new course, anyone like to guess the going for tomorrow? I would go heavy for the first race but good to soft for the last. Unless he watered it of course.

After the first race, Pullin decided to keep the ground as soft while reiterating that the 8mm of rain which had fallen on Wednesday was beyond what the forecast had suggested.
He said: "We'll stay as we are at this stage but we'll see. This rain is probably due for another half hour to an hour and then it should blow through.
"We've had 8mm now and it was the top end of what we were expecting. Yesterday I got the implication that there was a 30 per cent risk of that quantity. We'll go over that now so it's more than we were expecting."

Keep the ground as soft after the first riders were saying was getting attractional blow through yes indeedy bog today sticky bog tomorrow.

BREAKING NEWS: There will be a precautionary inspection at Cheltenham tomorrow morning at 8am in light of the forecast for further watering.
Yes it did obv rain a lot today at Cheltenham but watering was a MASSIVE mistake Imagine if you had trained a horse for the last 12 months praying for good ground and you see the forecast for this week then the clerk of the course waters no wonder someone like Nicholls was not happy
Tell me they didn't water overnight they seem to be coming in for a fair amount of stick prices and the bumper was a laugh wasn't it.
