I don't quite understand the 33/1. It seems to imply that the trainer is sending him out half-baked which would be pretty silly if he really wants to find out about his Stayers Hurdle prospects. The Racing Post states 'may need this'. On what basis? He has won on two out of his three seasonal debuts. If Honeysuckle is right she is going to win, but I would expect Latest Exhibition to be competitive against the rest. He has been beaten by Abacadabras, but that was over the minimum, and the longer trip should bring them closer. Given that he whizzed around Down Royal I can't buy the idea that he is better left handed.

No, he has been supported down from 33/1 to as short as 10/1 for the Stayers. Trainer says he is open minded, but clearly on the novice hurdle form his best chance of winning at the Festival is in the Stayers Hurdle.
He's a Grand National horse .....and as for listening to a single word attributed to any trainer ..................
Terrible shame. He was the horse that put the stable back on the map.
good job we,ve never trained a horse or we might be offering an opinion on why a national horse is taking on a brilliant ch hurdler over hurdles
Only saw the inner course replay , dont know where the horse fell but the jockey was struggling with it on the course at the second last when it obviously has a dangling broken leg. Had it been there long ? If so where was the Irish horse vet and screen crew?
