This is what he's quoted as saying after the win at Wetherby today on hus hurdling debut:

""There's a good race for him at Kempton over Christmas and we may go somewhere and find something a bit easier in between to sort his jumping out."

Sounds a good plan, except that the Kempton race he refers to, a £20k Introductory Juvenile Hurdle, has the following entry condition:

"for juvenile three yrs old, which have not run in more than one hurdle race"

As Mr Nicholls found out this week, it pays to read the conditions carefully before announcing your plans!

Potentially a nice horse for over the jumps.

He’s entered for the first race at Leicester on 27th December, does yesterday’s win meet the criteria  for that race?

Could pay for our Christmas pudding if it runs.

Thanks Duncan,

Keep your eye on me - I think I’m losing it.

It was TheAnorak's ""There's a good race for him at Kempton over Christmas …
That I think distracted me.
