Why did he even think switching inside was a good idea? Should have shat up.

He wants the race to be all about him and not the horse. He wants the glory by winning looking good rather than just getting the job done

for a person to say," thats the way i ride if you dont like it dont bet on me " shows you what an arrogant   selfish childish boy he is

a highly skilled yet frustrating jockey

the inability to adapt to how a race is going/pace , conditions, course etc , is what lets him down

it is impossible for the best position to be in in every race is in last place regardless of the other factors

I honestly thought that was his forte. Maybe gone a bit at the game.

remember backing him on green moon iirc led from start to finish that was years ago , can do it well from the front  if he wanted but prefers to give em mountains to climb. still we know what we get with him as he says dont back his if ya dont like the way he rides ,i took his advice thankfully.

He has the game cracked but decides to make it interesting for himself by trying to pass the whole field from the rear in nearly every race he takes part in,a bit like some wingers who beat the same guy about 3 times in the same move without passing or crossing because they just enjoy the sensation too much.

I’d suggest some trainers want their horses ridden that way with different expectations

He thinks the way a lot of jockeys think, including lots of my all time favourites such as Ruby, AP and Ryan Moore. They are riding for owners who pay their wages and punters are a side show. Take away the punters and you have nothing except rich people slapping it on the counter with other rich people to see who has got the biggest. Its like working in a restaurant and telling your customers that you don't care if they think the food is bad, don't come to my restaurant if you don't like it. Enfant terrible. I agree with Foyles, Thanks for the advice Jamie.

SDS chose to ride how he wanted hence very few owners and trainers want him.

He was outstanding on Yibir on Saturday at Belmont.  On his previous 3 runs, Yibir had been held up but earned the comments: "took keen hold (twice)" and "raced freely".
However, on Saturday, Spencer got Yibir to completly relax at the back, to such an extent that he became slightly detached from the rest of the field.  It was the delicate touch of his hands that achieved this compared to the less subtle approach of Buick and Doyle in the other races.  The result of this is that the horse was full of run turning for home and won easily.

Some great backing music on that show, I think that's partly why it has had such good reviews, funny I also went on youtube looking for this track but couldn't find it, well done. Happy
