Sophie Jones, the rider of FACT OR FABLE (IRE), placed fourth, had appeared to drop her hands shortly before the winning post. After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Jones was suspended for 7 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished third. Jones was accompanied by a BHA Jockey Coach.

was unfortunate, i flagged it up on the other fred as it happened. think a lot of people on here wouldn't have spotted it, more for their benefit not to get the girl in trouble.

It’s a sad state that the stewards don’t take the same action for several of the top jockeys who consistently do not ride out to obtain the best position.
