I'll be able to tell when I see you Thursday if you've a black eye
By:
We've got a spare room but I don't think a horse would fit in it.Good luck on both counts.
By:
.. See you Thurs , off to Bellewstown for a few races...Then hopefully I can break the news gently to her .
By:
Dont tell her Workrider its better that way.
By:
all those horses are called don't tell for a reason!!
By:
Best of luck workrider,
What's it called and if not named the pedigree please. PM if you don't want to tell the great unwashed. |
By:
Best of luck workrider.
..... you`ll need it when she finds out. |
By:
All the very best with it workrider, hope you get plenty of fun out of being an owner again.
By:
nice one,good luck with it.
By:
Good Luck..
By:
Thanks for the good wishes Gents, home from Bellewstown and the Daughter in Law is here and the wife seems in good humour , its still scary , okay everyone say a little prayer...
By:
Man up ffs.
By:
Good luck work rider very exciting times.
I knew someone who would book to go away with his mates and wouldn’t tell his wife till the night before while packing. He reasoned she would get the raving hump with him anyway but would have calmed down by the time he returned. They’re divorced now |
By:
Best of luck workrider, will it eventually jump a hurdle?
By:
suprised slicks hasnt had a pop yet!
By:
Foyles, He's reading the Bible ,Koran, and Torah, trying to find a chapter that talks about the evils of gambling tight now . He'll be along shortly with his usual , Wonky is bleeding the Government dry ...I managed to get it in while they were conversing and she turned to me and said , you're joking . I ducked in time...
By:
Punchestown I hope not , had a look at her this morning and that feeling of, WoW emerged ,she's a good bit away from a run still I live in hope...
By:
I just backed a 1.01 loser workrider I was supremely confident that slickster robo was going to appear and say silly wonky couldn't afford a 2 year old skateboard never mind a racehorse or something like that. goodluck with the horse though
By:
I would imagine wonky bought a gerbil or a hamster even a pigeon. Maybe even bugs bunny. But good aul wonks has enlarged it into a racehorse!!!!
By:
Oh he will you can take those odds , though maybe he is spending a few weeks up in the big White House that's were he usually ends up when Birchy's naps click poor thing..
By:
28 years is a long time between drinks wonky. You'll be telling us next that Frankel is the sire and you bought a leg for a monkey! Get back to riding your piebald around the green.
By:
1.01 landed 10 mins later got there in the end
By:
Ballyregan. Told You, he's as predictable, poor guy just can't help himself ...
By:
Wasn't letting the chap back a 1.01 and having him lose now was I wonky. IF this racehorse exists, and its a big IF, I reckon it should be called... wonky the donkey
By:
Or maybe , Slickster the Gobshyte...
By:
Or Robo the Obsessed with me....
By:
Very best of luck Workrider. A real leap of faith buying a two year old but, of course, you can dream of all the classics it's going to win!
By:
Poor clown hasn't heard of the 18 letters rule. And they let him out on his own!!! More attention seeking I'm afraid.
By:
thankyou for helping me with the 1.01 slickster it is much needed and workrider I have heard some funny names for horses but I dont think they let you call a horse slickster the gobshyte I am afraid
By:
Good luck 'workrider'. I hope you've loads of fun with the beast. I might venture in some time in the future too otherwise I'll be completely off horseracing since Shergar winning The Derby. I'm disillusioned and dejected the way this sport and gambling are going.
By:
Thanks lads for your words of encouragement, wife wished me luck and for a Woman who absolutely hates this game that took some effort. Booked my trip to the U.K . just now so all guns blazing .
By:
What's the pedigree WR.
By:
As a aside I have a free day in Middlesbrough on 30/10 before heading up to Newcastle and Hexham on the Fri, anyone got a idea of places of interest to visit or is there a football game on within a 20 mile radius tia..
By:
Workrider: when "Er indoors" cools down and your inspired investment brings rewards, expect the Little 'Lady' to have her mucky hand outstretched! I've had experience of these matters, stay strong!
By:
I believe muffin the mule is the sire.
By:
Its solved Ihal, I am very lucky to have such a wonderful lady in my life , doubt I'd have survived without her, any time when my funds ran out she would be the first to come to my rescue and has done for the last 41 years. I think she secretly loves the fact that its such a huge part of my life but she's never going to admit that you can be sure..
By:
Wonky is not privy to the pedigree as he has only secured a hair of the horse's tail
By:
All the best. Nothing like watching a horse you own going to the start for the first time. It can be downhill after that but not always.
By:
Certainly looks like it slickster,
That's the second time I've asked, I wouldn't normally be so pushy but I gave him details of both of mine down to lot no. at sale even. |
