£32,160 for turning up.

Surprised that no pacemaker has been left in the race, 5th place prize money would have covered expenses, most likely to be a tactical race and they very rarely turn out to be satisfactory other than for the eventual winner

Ridiculous state of affairs;trainers have lost the plot when it comes to entries ;£16k and £8k for 5th/6th isn't to be sneezed at ;surprised wonderful night isn't in the field to pick up 4th place money.

Yeh, if you'd known on May 11th that there would only be four runners, and had a spare seven grand sitting around to pay the entry fees, you could indeed have increased the size of the field.
