I was the same the night, on the day I got the jag but fine next day. Never felt a thing when I got the jag and no sore arm, surprising because it was a dentist that administered mine lol

Report loper April 7, 2021 1:54 PM BST
I had mine and I didn't get a blood clot.

How lucky was I?

Will you need the vaccine passport to go racing ??

Well I don't want to be next to you on the course if you haven't had it ! Grin

Had mine 8 weeks ago , no reaction, astra zeneca , chance of a blood clot 1 in 600,000. Chance of dying 1 in 2.5 million.
Even Gaze wouldn't back that. Chance of dying from Corona, well look at Brazil .
The more people have it the lower risk for us all.

Had the Pfizer jab on 4th Feb,sore arm for a couple of days.No date yet for my 2nd one.
Report TELL DEL April 7, 2021 3:08 PM BST
Well 3 weeks now since my jab, the AZ one, felt a bit groggy for a couple of days and tired, arm ache for a few days, they say those reactions are normal, ok after that. Second one in 8 or 9 weeks time, bit concerned but not too worried about getting 2nd jab.

Reckon I'd rather take a gamble on the vaccine that getting Covid. See what they say this afternoon when there is a briefing on the safety review of the AZ vaccine.
Report Hayden April 7, 2021 3:14 PM BST
Had my 1st jab ( Pfizer thankfully )

Been told by Doctor the same vaccine will be used for both doses , good news for people receiving Pfizer as opening jab

Anybody that is worried about it just read the leaflet that comes with all the medication you take - esp those who do the 'Warfarin run' and they all have similar amounts of side effects. Or you could google 'nameofdrug side effects' which will tell you the same in more detail. It may not put your mind at rest as it will show that all medications (even the one's you've been taking for years!) have similar side effects/death rates probably. it just didn't show up as it needed millions of doses (hundreds of thousands anyway) before things show up and it was released much quicker than others.
Report N-east Correspondent April 7, 2021 6:56 PM BST
agree spyker - nobody would take any drug prescribed to them if they read that folded up leaflet - its virtually a death sentence if it goes t1ts up!

Report GEORGE.B April 7, 2021 7:08 PM BST
Thank you Dr Spyker.

Obviously though, the medicines have (hopefully) been through the thorough and full testing procedures, whereas these novel gene-based vaccines are being administered on an emergency license and only a few short short months of trsting.

So you don't know if or not there will be any long term side affects.
Report spyker April 7, 2021 7:10 PM BST
I asked the chemist to leave mine out as it just goes in bin too but it's a legal thing it seems - even if you've taken it a million times yourself.

Bet the Public in Brazil - Would - now - 'SNATCH YOUR HAND OFF' - If you offered them Tons of AstraZeneca Vaccine.

The country being a classic example of an egotistic denier President (South America's Donald Trump) - telling everybody (a few weeks ago) - "You do not HAVE to have the Vaccine" - "If you don't want it - you will be fine"...

Cue - 5,000 Deaths a day ... and rising - with new, more transmissible, Variants, too.
