i did 4 bets with bet 365 and told i could no longer bet with them

Incredibly successful bookmaking business.
|
By:
She's above and beyond all the other head honchos in her industry put together. Well deserved. At least most of the profit went her way, not some undeserving shareholders who'd done no work. Bet365 is her family's baby.
No doubt this colossal figure is from punters in America and rest of the world from casino games and slots. |
By:
In fairness she pays her dues in taxes as well. Not an offshore dodger.
#The family contributed £573 million pounds last year to the treasury. Still the mind boggles why they wont tAKE A FIVER BET OFF MANY OF US. |
By:
Wow, that’s some contribution to the treasury.
|
By:
Yeah, a company like that should have a minimum liability of at least 50-100 quid per bet, fugging jokers.
|
By:
They will take bets, just not off people who open accounts and their first bets being £50 ones on the ITV races......
|
By:
365's usp is being internet based there are practically zero retail outlets ;the cost savings must be immense.
|
By:
Think she transformed the company which was previously a few Betting Shops (Pinnacle Racing) owned by her dad/family around Stoke On Trent area.
|
By:
Also, they do not employ shysters/voiceboxes unlike 'ok koral and boyles' on tv telling fibs and outright lies on Eclipse Day at Sandown. The shysters do not come cheap.
|
By:
impossible...they do
|
By:
Anyone know what the secret to their success is ?
I know they gave me 100 quid in free bets when I opened the account that must have been the most generous bookmaker offer ever. Who doesn't like free moneee |
By:
'cardiffc', if so I must be watching another racing channel. Bet365 is the best bookie on Oddschecker in every sense eg little or no promotion, but quality on prices; prompt payment; generous ongoing cashouts. The others pale into insignificance.
|
By:
impossible....i suppose if you dont have any ambition to win they are terrific
|
By:
The answer is simple , a shrewd business model designed to accommodate punters who can contribute to that enormous treasury sum.
There is so much variation of business models out there and having acquired knowledge of the vast majority via contacts it's no wonder some of them have to knee jerk to make ends meet. Hats off to a shrewd business woman ![]() |
By:
As Fred said they were the first to realise internet was the future. Sold all shops. Got the top tech team together. Went for mainstream punters ( losers ) in big numbers rather than big players that had any idea what they were doing.
|
By:
fair play to her as long as she pays her staff well and not just the going rate
|
By:
So 365 are winning fortunes, but where do the shrewdies win their money?
|
By:
Bet365 has the best user interface of all the big bookmaker sites, at least for racing. It is quick and uncluttered. Of course there are tweaks I wish they'd make but it is far better than any of the others which are typically either slow or constantly trying to push casino games on you.
|
By:
As far as i'm aware she's.......
Paid the staff throughout covid Paid the Stoke City staff also Donated £10 million to her local NHS Not claimed any government furlough. Whatever your feelings towards bookmakers that's hard to criticise. |
By:
bett365..lose as much as you like but win and acc closed.
great business model. |
By:
Now with the toothless Gambling Commission and BHA head honchos (tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum) gone let's hope post affordability review the industry could adopt something similar to Australia where every horse racing punter is accommodated an agreed minimum amount regardless. Otherwise, every bookie on the high street cannot have fobt on site.
|
By:
@greenteethnarrabacktroutmoy (not easy to type btw) -- "bett365..lose as much as you like but win and acc closed. great business model."
That has not been my experience. Maybe I've just been lucky or maybe it is a certain type of winner they want to avoid. |
By:
a lot of clients in africa
|
By:
I've paid for the carpet on her
yacht |
By:
I've not be restricted by any bookie except 'ok koral and ***way' for pinching/forward looking on antepost prices. It was not my fault if their employers had been sleep-walking in their job and got spanked.
|
By:
Ramruma , they don't want anyone that looks shrewd. You either must look like a dummy ( eg. Foinhaven backer ) and they think you are purely jammy or you have won buttons over a long period of time never beating the price.
|
By:
Ive e-mailed Denise Coates dozens of times and failed to get any response , I wonder why she feels she can treat her clients with total contempt. an organisation of total filth like all other bookmaking firms .. betfair not much better every time you go to back a horse the price is never there , seems manipulation to force people to take lesser prices is rife on betfair , been going on for a long time.
|
By:
@howard re never beating the price -- is that code for filthy arbers?
![]() But all this is probably old-fashioned. See the Entain thread and the press release therein about using artificial intelligence (AI) to classify customers. I expect we'll see more of that with bookies looking to steer clear of addicts who might get them a million pound fine for encouraging them, and at the opposite end, sharks and shrewdies. Nothing personal but computer says no. |
By:
@matso -- re email.
When I worked as a low-level corporate drone I got hundreds of emails a day. I expect DC gets thousands and any not from a pre-approved list of senders (what we used to call whitelisted) is automatically binned. There are not enough hours in the day. I'm slightly surprised she does not employ a team of assistants to check them but... |

correct. |
By:
So many casuals lose with them and then they must have a few bigger punters who they know are long term losers who they allow to get on. I'd love to know how much bookies make from the virtuals and games/casinos compared to bets they take on sports.
|
By:
Money like that - can only come from the FAR EAST.
Quite how it is 'attained' in the First Place - by Far East Punters - including Chinese using VPNs - is a Question nobody is prepared to ask. |
By:
The Chinese are filthy rich with money to burn (literally). Also, they are gambling fanatics. Has anyone not noticed Monday nights at the casinos? The clientele are almost entirely Chinese outside London.
|
By:
The few times I've been in casinos to play a bit of poker it was staggering to see the conduct at the roulette machines. A lot of middle eastern lads throwing chips on what looks like a huge amount of possible outcomes. I'm not sure they understand the mathematics of casino betting or maybe they were just absolutely loaded.
|
By:
Oh yes, same as the Chinese in regional casinos. The Chinese just enjoyed putting chips on the table; usually every number was covered on every spin.
|
By:
Now that the bookmakers are setting the SP there is even less reason for them to be allowed to restrict/ban anyone.
|
By:
Its embarrassing in that her package reported at the start of this thread is £470 million yet they feel the need to restrict me and many others to win a maximum £10 on certain markets
