btw good to have a positive punting story on the BBC site alongside the ex-cricketer gambling addict.

Positive punting on BBC,will they invite an Appleby on for a trainers view iyo?

"Future Racing bets are subject to a maximum payment of £250,000" from Paddy Power t&cs
|
By:
OK you got me. Maybe that's why I don't bet with Paddy Power!
![]() Anyway, for this bet they've confirmed they'll pay the full half a million and a bit. |
By:
Before Royal Ascot last year Bob Olinger had won a PTP and a bumper - if anyone was confident enough on that evidence to back him at 25/1 for the Ballymore in almost a year's time, well, they are an absolute genius.
|
By:
- t&c's are final.. bar any fantasy PR stunt we dream up..
|
By:
GL to the fella but surely when you have
these bets you know what it comes to, Especially A/P bets. Comes to £1/2M and then you ask what their max payout is. |
By:
FFS you bunch of barstewards why did nobody tell me PP had bought BF?
|
By:
Hold on. Paddy Power max payout is £1 million on top races.
UK - Classes 1 & 2 £1,000,000 https://www.paddypower.com/aboutUs/Betting.Rules/ |

Penzance has the fishing really got so bad in the West Country that the pilchards can no longer recognise a net?
![]() |
By:
Ramruna, have you checked with Barry? Btw who is employed by PPBF and not PP? Maybe he should check his contract for severance limits IYO?
|
By:
@glentoby are you offering a price on Orr being sacked tomorrow for paying out too much on this bet?
|
By:
Strange how a photo of the bet on display in the Daily Mail lists the first two as ante post bets but not the last three which still had 9 months left to go before the races
|
By:
Ramruma it says underneath that the exceptions to the £1 million payout.. "Future Racing bets are subject to a maximum payment of £250,000"
|
By:
You would think his jumping was safer than Monkfish, but even so it seems a no-brainer to cash-out.

Strange how a photo of the bet on display in the Daily Mail lists the first two as ante post bets but not the last three which still had 9 months left to go before the races I thought that but I checked and an antepost bet now on next years festival doesn't state antepost on the bet |
By:
@giggitygiggity -- you are right. Lucky I don't bet with PP or win half a million on accas.
Anyway for this bet it is moot because they've said they'll pay up. Funny how on a positive story for racing we've had two pages of negativity. |
By:
I will be happy to lay your missus ramruna, providing A.Under 40 B.Better shape than Miss Piggy aka Norfolk trainer C. Less wrinkles and D.You deny me the opportunity due to travel restrictions!!!!
All that apart try and stick to the theme of fishing rather than contractual law and Baz's agreement with BF? ![]() ![]() |
By:
And btw just to dispel doubt E.Female!!! Many thanks.
![]() |
By:
![]() Anyway, time for Masterchef! |
By:
It's on the racing post website now
|
By:
Enjoy ramruna, all just jest which at least you get, some do not!!!

By:
I hope he's an understanding bank manager. If so, just 'lay' the beast at 1/2: 'lay' £200k/£250k to win mega bucks regardless.

gavin lynch tipped bob olinger for the ballymore at 33\1
|
By:
both him and david jennings gave an horse for this years cheltenham week after last years festival.....so if he watched the show its possible to have backed it
|
By:
think gavin lynch tipped envoi allen as well but sure it was bigger than 9\2 for the marsh but its possible by june the price would be shorter
|
By:
A few queries:
a) Why are they offering to cover the full odds, despite their max payout? It is virtually double. That is a hefty bit of advertising. b) I presume it was done online. Do you not get an online warning, that your accumulator odds surpass their max payout? c) With the cashout facility, can you vary the amounts you can take or is it just take this or let it ride'? d) Staggered at picking the right races. The odds of that alone, must have been fairly large Never really done this sort of thing, so no idea |

me ma always telt iz..son,bleeve fck all unless you see it with your eyes..me ma is correct.
|
By:
just done a fiver each way acca wiv billys it pays 1 million so i tried putting a tenner each way stake still a million
|
By:
Just out of interest, when did Gavin Lynch tip it at 33/1?
|
By:
According to his screenshot of the bet he had over 20k in the account when he placed the bet , since when did punters with 20k in the account put on £5.00 acc's
|
By:
aye but its not really a bet is it..its a chuck away fiver on a whim.
|
By:
|
By:
In the full story he won loads before, not sure why he would have 20k sitting in a betting account but then again it is probably safer than a bank.
![]() |
By:
Ah right. Hope he's got 2 stage authentication turned on...
|
By:
goonie....straight after last years cheltenham.....he then tipped this year the mullins horse that finished 2nd.....he told david jennings despite taking 33\1 fpr bob olinger the mullins was better financially for him
|
By:
i think also david jennings tipped shiskin......i think those are the 3 i remember being tipped so its not his great tipping but following someone else
|
By:
don't matter who tipped 'em,he put those together
with others in an acca and won. GL to the fella. |
By:
Does anyone know if he posts on here?
