What have they offered and what is the liability?
|
By:
25% is a rough guestimate if only 1 left to run?
|
By:
240 euro accum , 9 selections , 5 are already up , 4 left to run , 3 odds on faves at chelt and al boum photo for GC , Liablity over 200k cash out offer 8k
|
By:
take the money only fools gamble
|
By:
If I was you Biffo I would cash out given what you have left to run.Goes against my normal instinct tbh but I cashed out 2 and a bit grand the other day rather than lay the 4th leg.
You could stick a couple of grand on the remainder and still have £6k in your bin and lay the odds on shots? |
By:
Not willing to accept 8k , have the funds in account on here to lay the other horse to come
|
By:
Lay them then Biffo and hope you lose the lays, how short are the odds on? Been there many times and a case of balancing the books really, put yourself as having the liability and go from there as to what gets you the best result.
|
By:
Monkfish , chacun and envoi
|
By:
Cash outs are heavily in favour of the bookmakers, you still have 4 to run so £8k to me would seem fair. Its really down to you though and how much £8K will mean to you.
Your damned if you do and damned if you don't. |
By:
That about sums up his position TD,a pain tbh but better than not being in it!!!
|
By:
All look good on paper Biffo and the weak link maybe the GC but the CC is no penalty kick either?
|
By:
Yeah true glentoby , very well put , its a pain but i would of bitten the hand off u at the start of the day to be in this position now
|
By:
what are the odds of the others biffo
good luck btw |
By:
gl Biffo, hope they all romp home
|
By:
Thanks pablo 4/11 4/5 8/15 and 2/1 last i checked ,
|
By:
When you placed the bet you would have known this scenario may have to be considered & that following 5 successful selections that running amount would be considerably more that you'd be offered by ANY bookmaker.
Not sure you have any choice but to let it run or else why on earth place the bet in the first place , the last or indeed penultimate leg may be considered different but this stuff should be given more consideration before placing a bet of this type. Whatever you decide Biffo the very best of luck |
By:
We miss your original point Biffo which was negotiate.Without doubt you can get £12K from them if giving them a call imo, found them willing in the past, start at £20k and work backwords and get to the middle ground if that suits you?
The alternative is let it run and if the three odds on go in ask them for a line of credit on here to allow you a lay on Al Boom, they are also very helpful in this respect i.e an exchange lay. |
By:
yeah most would argue that you should just be rolling up on singles rather than placing this sort of multiple bet and having your hands tied by the bookies
|
By:
Why so wisewords? He would be staking large to lose large in comparison to the acca?
|
By:
what's the point in doing a 9 leg acca if you're thinking
of bailing out halfway through? GL,by the way. |
By:
the thing with that wisewords is very few who roll up to 100k will put the 100k on the next
ffs you're in a great position mate, all the best it would all depend on the running order and what the payout would be if 1 or 2 of them let you down , but if it was me and the 4/11 shot was the next to run , i'd probably lay that for a few grand . so that either way you have a nice bit and you're not paying out much from your potential , if he wins you've only done in about 5k of your possible profit and then play it from there . possibly you need to think how much of the 200k you are willing to hedge/givaway for a guaranteed return |
By:
Makes a helluva lot more sense to hope you can bail out Penzance i.e get to the point where you can?
Years ago he would be stuck with only one alternative i.e back all the others against him? Which makes most sense IYO? |
By:
sorry not 5k , 5k profit , but it depends on what you would get back if he was the only one to win next
if that makes sense ? |
By:
Have cashed out 3 times for large numbers, all three have backed the last leg on here, one won two lost.So the choice of backing or laying might seem obvious but the shortest was 8/1 which won.
Biffo is at least in the position of considering laying at short prices unlike I was,the bottom line is he has the upper hand to negotiate what suits him best? |
By:
|
By:
shame chacun isn't after envoi
|
By:
phone paddy & ask to be put through to the negotiations team .. all skilled ex-military types
|
By:
Wisewords how long have you been skint?
|
By:
You can have an account with my firm immediately providing you pass the affordability checks!!!
|
By:
by calling them up you'll immediately "out" yourself as a "Non-mug". which will probably result in them freezing your account until you can jump through a variety of bizarrely placed hoops.
|
By:
I would try and negotiate with a firm fig in mind of accepting no less or I might let it run and if loses only lost 240euros nothing more my preferred option.
|
By:
just a straight accumulator biffo ?
apologies i thought you had 5 and 6 folds and all that forget what i said |
By:
He will not be calling them out hulk, how do you work that out? If he calls he may be treated as a muppet by the accountants until he makes his proposal and identifies his account and pending bet!!
After that do you think he will care about Account closed? Over to you Biffo as the only one with a decision to make? |
By:
best of luck biffo assuming the 4/11 is monkfish could let that run and any idea of the cashout offer assuming he wins anyone ?
|
By:
If you’re in a quandary why not call em & ask for 6k for half the bet ,keep the other half running.
|
By:
Al Boum Photo is 3/1 for the Gold Cup. market doesn't particularly like it? feels like that will let you down regardless
|
By:
How much is running on right now?
|
By:
Thanks lads for advice. im goin to contact them foyleswar id be guessing they offer 12-13 should monkfish win
|
By:
very best of luck biffo i was in a similar position at the 2010 festival ,13/2 winner 12/1 winner /12/1 winner £20 each way acca all going onto cooldine unplaced gold cup , i had the singles doubles and treble to ease the blow ,and no cash out in them days !
