from Newbury website

Thanks to all those involved in the contingency plans for Betfair Super Saturday which will be restaged next Sunday 21 Feb, should we lose this Sat’s fixture to frozen ground.

It’s such a prestigious meeting for Newbury and racing as a whole, so this is a really positive outcome with thanks to BHA/Levy Board/ITV and Betfair. #BetfairSuperSunday

excellent news for us at home watching . and good news for skelton and hendo if their horses get turned over by mullins at cheltenham . they can say we could have done with another week between the prep race and here , etc , etc ...

They have lost interest in midweek apart from the blue riband festivals ......so there should be quality racing every Saturday and Sunday.....but the authorities prefer their lets pack everything on Saturday programme .

Shame to have to wait a week but better it is saved .....hope we don't find out that Altior wont run as he likes a lie in on a Sunday .

So will all antepost markets for tomorrow and be refunded?

From BHA website:-

"In the event the fixture is moved to Sunday 21 February, the Betfair Hurdle will revert to its weights published stage, with all other races on the card re-opening for entries."

From Betfair Antepost T&C's:-
"For the avoidance of doubt, where a race is postponed and rescheduled to another day at the same venue, relevant bets will stand where entries/declarations at the time of postponement remain unaltered or include any non-material addition(s) prior to the rescheduled race."

So many T&C's on AP don't know why they don't KISS!!

Can someone please confirm what they think happens to Betfair Hurdle AP bets, clearly all other races are refunded. TIA.

Betfair Hurdle - STAYS as it was - it being an 'early-Closing' Race.... So Weights remain the SAME.

Bets, therefore will STAND.

Other races are being re-opened - so a potential Fresh start .... Any Markets that were open on such races will be voided.

Thank you.

This is the wording from Betfairs' T&C on antepost markets.

All relevant bets will be void where an event is: abandoned and not rescheduled; or postponed and rescheduled to another venue; or postponed and rescheduled to another day at the same venue with entries for the race being reopened or reverting back to a previous entry or declaration stage provided any additional horses are entered or re-entered and such entries or declarations are considered, in Betfair’s absolute discretion, material to the betting on the race. For the avoidance of doubt, where a race is postponed and rescheduled to another day at the same venue, relevant bets will stand where entries/declarations at the time of postponement remain unaltered or include any non-material addition(s) prior to the rescheduled race.

The above is the wording from Betfairs' T&C on antepost markets.

At the time of postponement the race was in its final declaration stage but is now being re-opened to the previous cut-off point, which will include horses that were not declared on Thursday morning, so in theory the ante post market should be voided.

What happens to the  ANTE-POST Market - 'All IN - Run or NOT' - Rule .... in that case, then?

It is an ANTE-POST Market.... and the race is STILL going to be RUN.
Report The Sawyer February 12, 2021 2:01 PM GMT
They could simply reopen the antepost market as it was on Thursday pre-dec time as the race is now "open" to those who weren't declared.

Now we have 48 hour decs over jumps perhaps they should change their wording

Onlooker I may have mis-interpreted it but the fact they use the term "entries/declaration at the time of postponement" suggests that the market should be void.

From a personal point of view (and they haven't refunded yet) I hope it stands Cool

so having backed Metier ante post have i done my dosh? placed bet with ladbrokes but it appears to me to be unclear as to whether bets will be refunded. they have said entries will be reopened to initial weights declaration i believe. surely that means the original race is void from a betting perspective as different horses may well end up running to those who were declared at the last 48hr declaration stage. Ladbrokes small print says if different entrants race as a result of a rescheduled race then the race is void.

L@@brokes rules

Ante Post bets

Ante Post bets are accepted on the basis of ‘all in’, whether the horse or selection participates or not. This means that if the horse or selection does not run or participate in the race/event named, the bet is a loser. This applies even if the selection was not entered in the race, as long as there was the possibility that it could have been entered at a later stage. If a bet is placed on an Ante Post selection before the entries have closed, the bet will stand. The selection will only become void if: *The race/event is abandoned or declared void
*In the case of horseracing, a horse is balloted out or eliminated under Jockey Club Rule 125, or prevented from running under Jockey Club Rule 1A
*The venue changes
*In the case of horseracing and greyhound racing, if the conditions of the race entry are changed prior to the horses or greyhounds coming under starters orders
*In the case of horseracing if the horse has been withdrawn from the race, or was specifically excluded by the race conditions at the time the bet was accepted
*Specific terms such as “with a run” were offered at the time the bet was placed and the selection is subsequently withdrawn as a non-runner
*A bet on an Ante Post event was placed without taking a price
Where the above conditions apply to a selection in an Ante Post multiple bet, the selection in question will be treated as a non-runner and the bet settled at the Ante Post odds laid on the remaining selections. If a bet on an Ante Post selection was placed after the entries closed, it will become void unless:
The race is run on a later date at the same venue; and entries are not re-opened, in which case the bet will stand.
However, if the conditions of the race change (e.g. if the race is to be run over a different distance), all affected Ante-Post selections will be void. Each-Way Ante Post bets are settled according to the Each-Way terms advertised at the time the bet was placed. Ante Post selections can be included in most types of bets, including our range of speciality bets. However, any built-in bonuses and consolations specific to certain speciality bets (such as double the odds one winner on a Lucky 15/31/63 bet) will not apply.

Think they had to start new market once Metier was declared non-starter by trainer as it had a material impact on the AP market; although with the form of the stable I don't expect it would have won anyway!

Just noticed that my exchange bets have been refunded by Betfair
