In todays Racing Post, James Stevens is writing about the racing yesterday at Ludlow and the return of members of the public. He said it was good to hear the sound of shouting and hollowing from the 4 on course bookmakers. Things must have changed, I can't remember the last time I heard one of the on course bookmakers shouting out their odds, they just stand there like lifeless soles. They don't need to shout out their odds now because they are all showing the same price on their boards.

To be fair I saw Mick Williams offering 2/1 Marada when it was 2.9 on here.

It's simply not true that prices are ALWAYS BF- x%

Thought that on course noone was allowed to speak lest they spread the virus. That ruins shouting in a 50/1 outsider that you haven't had a penny on  just to wind up.

Shouting in the ring is just asking for trouble. Even if it is not dangerous because the extra saliva is carried off by the wind, it looks bad.
