Just submitted a complaint on line to ASA, post on here what comes of it but don't hold your breath waiting for a reply. Just think it is wrong that Betfair can put these adds up, if they don't want to give FREE £5 bets out why put the adds out.

In their defence I think they pretty much always do - this from a "Best Odds on the Exchange" promo on the site today:
"For the purposes of this exercise we have incorporated the commission charge (5% charge on your winnings, other charges may apply to some customers)."

Got a reply from advertising standards today I've got to send the a copy of the add from Saturdays Racing Post will also send them a copy of the add that B/Fair placed in the Daily Mirror. I'd like as many of you as possible who was refused the free bet to contact them. This is not about the £5 it's the principle, they should not be putting adverts in that are misleading. SO COME ON GET THOSE EMAILS SENT.

good luck. the ASA have a record of upholding complaints against bookies (suggesting unlike many they are not 'on the payroll'), but they don't amount to much more than a slap on the wrists. I've had a complaint upheld by them - doubt the bookie in question lost much sleep about it.

im not on 2%, and didnt get the offer, and as cumulus stated where has the £ 5 free bet streak gone, and whats worse where is the cash race thats promised .

even if you go through the process and the free bet shows in your freebet/bonus wallet,why doesnt it work when trying to place the bet,does that mean your not entitled

just seen the advert on tv looked at the terms at the bottom and they were for new and existing customers only, if it excludes anyone that must clearly be stated in the advert wording at the bottom they are in breach of the advertising standards so i will e putting in a complaint to asa and urge others to its the only way they get a wrap on the knuckles but gambling commission should take action but they are snowflakes not worth a carrot
